Hi
I absolutely detest bad cycling too pls explain, as an highly paid parliamentarian what are you doing to ensure the safety of children and other pedestrians that are routinely slain by the drivers of motor vehicles going:
Through red lights
Driving on the pavement etc etc

Any views on drivers rushing through amber lights to beat the red signal?

Stats please Sarah. How have you compiled them, and if you didn’t, what source did you obtain them from?
Or is this you yet again making assertions based solely on anecdata?

I actually admire good cyclists.
Unfortunately the bad ones - especially Lime-bikers & heavy delivery e-‘bikes’ which are really motorbikes - are now the majority & are out of control in a display of normalised unchecked lawlessness in London

Prepare for a sea of whatabouterry, denial, abuse, and contradictory lectures about how unsafe cyclists are from other vehicles whilst simultaneously condoning cyclists riding in an unsafe way themselves.

That certainly won't be helped if they are talked of in the same breath and with post starting with addressing cyclists as the opp did. That was my point, you can't conflate them from I presume a position of knowledge, then be suprised when people treat them as the same.

With 1.5m daily cycle trips, and the potential for many more, we're expanding London's network of Cycleways.
Good to see the progress being made on the new Nine Elms bike lanes.

Forgiving infrastructure assumes people make mistakes. A person on a bike who loses their balance and falls shouldn't pay for it with their life just because there was no buffer between them and a vehicle 100 times their weight.

Hands down, the quickest, cheapest, most pleasurable, least stressful, scenic way to get from A to B in London.
Parking and congestion are never issues. It only applies to cars
Bike it best

For decades too many junctions in London haven't had pedestrian signals - TfL is upgrading these to make it safer for people crossing these busy roads.
Good to see the A217 London Rd / Cricket Green junction completed.

To eliminate traffic, the last thing you should encourage is millions of ppl in 4,000 pounds of steel moving 40 km/h all at once
It's like a room of ppl wearing those novelty sumo wrestler costumes, puzzled why there's not enough space for everybody to run at once

People dunking on this but basically a story about a council encouraging kids to use public transport - particularly to reduce use of expensive SEND transport, which seems sensible

If you want Britain to rejoin the EU and restore mutual Freedom of Movement, don't underestimate the value of speaking up.
Your voice helps others realise they're not alone.
And the more visible our support becomes, the harder it is for politicians to ignore.
