Some days you feel like you’ve got it together. Other days, you’re holding back tears in the bathroom because you just don’t know how to keep going — but you do. Because you have to. Because they need you.
Autism isn’t one thing — it’s a spectrum. And so is the experience of every family that lives with it.
But if you want to know what autism really is?
It’s unconditional love stretched to its limit, and then stretched some more.

It’s isolation. It’s chaos. It’s beauty. It’s finding meaning in every meltdown, every sensory overload, every “we’ll try again tomorrow.”
Autism is teaching a 10-year-old how to use a fork. It’s changing diapers on a teenager. It’s trying to find joy in small wins while grieving the dreams you once had — all while holding onto hope for new ones.
It’s being proud and tired at the same time.
It’s watching one child thrive with a little extra help — reading, running, and even being witty — while another can’t be left alone for five minutes because they might wander off or hurt themselves and not even know it’s dangerous.
