Deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific attack targeting a funeral procession at St George’s Orthodox Church in Karak, #Jordan.

🇨🇿🤝🇸🇰 Foreign Minister Petr Macinka welcomed his Slovak counterpart Juraj Blanár to Prague today.
Together, they signed the Czech-Slovak Foreign Ministries Consultation Plan for 2027-2028, which sets out the framework for cooperation between the two ministries. They also discussed preparations for the joint meeting of the Czech and Slovak governments, scheduled to take place this November.
Minister Macinka presented the 2026 Gratias Agit Awards today at the Czernin Palace. 🎖️
This year, 12 individuals and one organisation from the fields of science, culture, the arts and other areas received the award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to promoting the good name of the Czech Republic abroad.
“We often tend to think that a country's image abroad is shaped primarily by state visits, international summits or carefully prepared strategies. In reality, however, it is largely shaped by individuals and their everyday work,” said the Czech Foreign Minister in his address to the award recipients.
The Gratias Agit Award honours those who, through their achievements, expertise and long-standing dedication, represent the Czech Republic abroad and contribute to its positive reputation around the world. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has presented the award since 1997, with more than 350 laureates recognised to date. 🌍🇨🇿

on supporting EU enlargement to the countries of the Western Balkans, as well as on addressing challenges in the Middle East, security matters, and migration. Another shared message was the need for a pragmatic European policy. “Let us protect nature and the environment, but not at the cost of destroying our own industry,” Minister Macinka said. European competitiveness, energy security, and support for modern technologies, including the next generation of nuclear energy, must remain top priorities. The talks also opened the door to future Czech-Italian cooperation in Africa, focused on investment, stability, and addressing the root causes of irregular migration.

Three years ago today, on 7 October 2023, Hamas carried out a brutal terrorist attack against Israel, killing innocent people.
What is truly disturbing is that we are now seeing attempts to turn terrorists into victims and victims into villains.
Terrorism should never be excused, justified, or relativized.
