Ostapchuk shouldn’t get scratched for this. The Sharks need to keep their better players in the lineup, the ones who have earned their playing time. #SJSharks
sabres could play against dellandrea with closed eyes and still win oh my god

I find it odd Warsofsky is calling out the Sharks’ competitiveness, then the next day removes Ostapchuk for Dellandrea who hasn’t contributed so far. He m has played really well in his role, winning puck battles, faceoffs and being physical.
After #SJSharks Warsofsky called out the team's competitiveness, saying "got to get comfortable being uncomfortable" after last night's game, he started practice today with two battle drills. The second one is more intense and is all work along the boards around the net.

Sharks should switch Dellandrea with Ostapchuk. Do not understand the infatuation with Delly.
#SJSharks lines, Celebrini & Smith still split, Bystedt 3C, Ostapchuk sits: Stenberg-Celebrini-Graf Marchment-Misa-Smith Sherwood-Bystedt-Toffoli Goodrow-Dellandrea-Gaudette Ostapchuk Dickinson-Trouba Nurse-Allan Orlov-Kesselring Hajek

Ryan Warsofsky still has time to right the ship. We are only 13/84 games into the season. With that being said, if the Sharks aren’t in the playoff picture by Thanksgiving, it’s time to panic. Statistically teams that are out of it by then do not make the playoffs.

Enough Sharks bashing after a really disappointing loss to the Sabres. The Sharks play Vancouver next. They need to flush it and focus, because they simply cannot lose to this Canucks team or the heat is going to get dialed up for sure.

I’ve been critical of Askarov so far this season but I will absolutely admit he was incredible tonight. The offense failed him. The odd decision to not blend the lines for once when the Sharks couldn’t buy a goal is a chief reason they lost tonight.
and i don’t want to hear a single fucking thing about our goaltending and how it doesn’t meet “expectations” when our forwards don’t show up at all and our coaches make nonsensical lines and die by their own shitty decisions

It is games like this that really make me question why the Sharks were so trigger happy to extend Warsofsky before proving he can coach an NHL team with playoff expectations.
In their first game being split up, WillMack and the Sharks are shutout by the Sabres 😳 WILD goaltending dual in this one 🫡

I preached patience with Warsofsky before the season. Granted, only 13/84 games in, Warsofsky has been underwhelming. How long does the coaching staff get to figure out the anemic 5-on-5 scoring? If the Sharks aren’t in a playoff spot by Thanksgiving, it’s time to panic.
Final game thoughts: Askarov played great but offense was a no show. Generated chances but not enough. D gave up so many quality chances. So many issues. Coaching being #1 in my eyes in this game. Have been Warso defender but ice time and lines etc makes 0 sense this game.

Warsofsky is so quick to blend his lines when the Sharks are scoring, yet when his team has 0, he keeps his two best forwards with the most chemistry apart for 60 mins. Another game, another opportunity squandered by the coaches to figure out their 5-on-5 scoring. #SJSharks
I know they are on separate lines, but late in the third, down 1-0, Celebrini and Smith aren't on the ice together. I think that's a mistake. #SJSharks

Askarov has been fantastic tonight. Maybe Warsofsky puts Celebrini back with Smith at the end because, you know, they haven’t been able to score otherwise. #SJSharks

Sharks need to move on from Dellandrea. Takes so many penalties and adds nothing offensively. If he plays, he should only be on the 4th line.

Askarov I need that to be a save. #SJSharks

After 1 period, I loved Askarov’s game. He needs to keep that up a full 60 minutes. Loved Sherwood’s tenacity as always. Celebrini had some great chances. I sense a goal coming from him tonight. #SJSharks

If only there was a really funny nickname for that second defensive pairing

Yaroslav Askarov started 2026-27 as the Sharks’ number one in net. 12 games in, it’s clear he needs more seasoning. For the #SJSharks. Until further notice, the net should belong to Alex Nedeljkovic.

If these are indeed the Sharks hometown remix, I like it. I don’t usually like the logo they use for the crest, but the jersey is solid overall. Need to see the real deal on the players for my full opinion.

Don’t really understand Warsofsky’s decision to put Dellandrea anywhere other than the 4th line. #SJSharks

We knew Stenberg would eventually get a look with Will and Macklin. Sharks are kinda thin right now, doesn’t seem like optimal timing to try this out…
Stenberg on top line with Celebrini and Smith!
