The models are getting so good that by the time ive typed out my complaint to change something that its either already caught it or changed it entirely and moved on. Anyone else experiencing this

So much in store for playagi.city We've been jamming this week on so many new cool elements and ways to play and explore + expand cities. And space...

Built out a full Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and now multiple English stations and even a talk radio station. Spent a lot of time writing the Vo dialogs and themes... Well over 80hours of radio content and music in game. ~40 commercials and segments directly tied to in-game related elements. I built a world -- now im adding a massive level of details to it... Have never played a sim game this complex or detailed not even close.

Lots of QoL and optimization updates over the last few days. Should see a massive improvement especially on iOS and low-end devices playagi.city

While building playagi.city, I ended up creating a lot of proprietary tools -- 44, to be exact. No single model can just do all of these tasks out of the box. But with the right tools and harness around it, you can push agents much further than the raw model suggests. Most of these tools existed independently until a few days ago, I finally let the agents pull them together and package everything under one roof... What started as internal infrastructure has turned into a full suite that i can definitely repurpose later

The future of the human race depends on keeping these Effective Altruists as far away from control over AI as possible. They repeatedly tell you they care less about you than insects, and you should believe them.

Took this pic 2 days after almost dying. 4 years ago I Was hit by a careless driver at 38-40mph while skating in California early morning to get coffee and a doughnut like any decent human being does while on vaca - out visiting family for an extended break... The woman was texting and driving and blasted straight through a red light straight into me, I couldn't avoid it and I actually jumped at the last second to avoid being taken under the car then immediately blacked out last memory was an off duty officer helping me until emt arrived. 3-4 hours in the ICU. I refused painkillers as they surgically put my face back together, so I dont want to ever hear sop story about not taking pain meds for tooth ache, thats child's play... Not only did I not break a single bone but -- no internal bleeding or anything like that. Torn my rotator cuff and couldn't lift a coffee mug for over 3 months... and that was a horrible experience but, im here!

Astra has officially made it to the nether fortress in our long-horizon Minecraft computer use eval. Something no AI has done in history. It is now in the final stretches of beating the game in real time.

The crux of the issue is that the general public assumes someone who trains LLMs at a frontier lab (Anthropic, OpenAI) is somehow better calibrated on where all of this is heading than "outsiders." I think that’s a false assumption. A person’s p(doom) is much better predicted by their ideological affiliation - e.g. LessWrong, PauseAI, EA, etc. - than by whether they work at a frontier lab or how technically accomplished / knowledgeable they are. There are domains where you can be a superforecaster, and there are domains where your predictions are largely shaped by your ideology. Existential risk from AI falls squarely into the latter bucket.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Here it is - the official, revised, peer-reviewed version of my Platonic Space paper. mdpi.com/2409-9287/11/5/161 Of all the many unpopular positions I’ve taken over the decades - bitter controversies around the origin of left-right asymmetry in embryogenesis, bioelectricity and genetics, diverse intelligence, etc., this one has by far generated the most pushback: serious (grateful for those!) and energetic attempts to move me to other views, pleas to just drop it and not talk about it (for several different reasons), nasty emails and accusations, impacts on reviews of papers that have nothing to do with this, etc. Kind of amazing to me how incendiary this is. What can I say... Our job is to call it as we see it, and right now for me, this is it. Apologies to collaborators and colleagues for any shrapnel! Time will tell if this pans out or not; I've placed my bets. And btw, if you think this stuff is weird and uncomfortable, just wait… There’s much more on the way. The knob turns slowly but as long as the data keep coming, I'm going to say what I think it all means and follow it to the next steps it enables. Buckle up!
