In his 2020 "free inquiry" article, N Cofnas wrote that "the heritability of a trait...can be determined by adoption and twin studies." He said this conclusion is based on two "testable assumptions." Both assumptions are false. Back to the "hereditarian revolution" drawing board.

It doesn’t make sense to say that my ADHD brain made me do impulsive or unexpected things. It is people, not their brains, who think, feel and behave.

"The future is already arriving; what we sometimes lack is the courage to imagine it clearly." I've imagined a research-based possible global future. While it starts seven years from now, much of it happens before 2033, in choices already made - and still being made. bendingthearcmagazine.substa…

Related to the Cofnas controversy, the "Minnesota Study of Twins Apart" is the most frequently cited study by IQ hereditarians and race science supporters. In this 2022 peer-reviewed article, I explained why the study's conclusions should be rejected. jayjoseph.net/wp-content/upl…

This fashion for complaining to officialdom when you don't like the argument put forward in the media, is getting out of hand. Ring-fencing off certain orthodoxies from journalistic challenge is unhealthy. We need MORE documentaries that make us think again, not less. And creating a censorious, chilling climate will benefit no-one.
Channel 4 has aired "The Great ADHD Myth?". Together, we're responding. Please consider filling in our survey and complaining to Ofcom. Tell us the impact: our survey is collecting the evidence of what this programme has actually done - to how people see ADHD, and to people with it. A few minutes, anonymous, and it builds the record we'll take to Ofcom and Parliament. Complain to the regulator: our page has a ready-made Ofcom complaint: customisable, copy, paste. Both are here: adhduk.co.uk/challenging-c4-… #adhd
