Y'all know every one of these posts just makes your HC look worse, right?
John Harbaugh’s push for Jeffery Simmons drew some amusement inside the Ravens’ personnel department, per @CharlesRobinson.
Robinson reports that some in Baltimore had long believed Harbaugh wanted more influence over trades and draft picks. His decision to contact Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk directly stood out against that history.
“Now it looks to some in Baltimore like Harbaugh got the juice he always wanted when it comes to front office moves.”
Did Harbaugh use the Titans job as leverage to get more money for the Giants gig?
INSANE STORY 👇
John Harbaugh was reportedly FURIOUS after the Titans shut the Giants out of trade discussions for star DT Jeffery Simmons, per Michael Silver of The Athletic.
Titans GM Mike Borgonzi and Bears GM Ryan Poles, who are longtime friends and former roommates, reportedly worked out a deal behind the scenes without allowing other interested teams to negotiate.
Silver reports:
“What bothered Harbaugh, along with several current and former GMs I’ve spoken to, is that the Simmons deal appeared to be an off-the-grid transaction, the product of a private pact between two friends.”
After Giants GM Joe Schoen was unable to get anywhere with Tennessee, Harbaugh reportedly took matters into his own hands.
“When Schoen got nowhere with Borgonzi and Harbaugh began hearing chatter that a Simmons trade might be in the works, he essentially said, ‘To hell with this,’ and reached out to Borgonzi’s boss.”
Harbaugh personally contacted Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk in an attempt to open trade discussions.
That move reportedly upset some NFL executives, with one GM accusing Harbaugh of violating an unwritten “code” that primary decision-makers should only deal with one another.
Silver described Harbaugh’s reaction:
“Harbaugh’s reaction to that (and mine, for that matter): disdainful laughter.”
However, Silver clarified that the Giants likely weren’t going to beat Chicago’s offer anyway:
“The point wasn’t that the Giants would have outbid the Bears — in this case, they wouldn’t have — but that shutting them out of the process was absurd.”
Harbaugh wasn’t necessarily upset about losing out on Simmons. He was upset that the Giants were never given a chance to compete for him.
Harbaugh clearly isn’t afraid to step on some toes to improve his roster. 👀

I can't imagine why Draft Kings would want people to trust the Buccs enough to bet on them
"I don't think it's hyperbole to say the [Bucs defense] is a step up from the Seahawks' defense for the Bears offense."

Sunday was supposed to be a nice relaxing Bears fun watch but now with all these Bucs fans and ex players talking I’m gonna need the Bears to murder them

Motherfucker sure, but those numbers are heavily skewed because the Falcons just let two running backs go for a about a buck fifty a piece on them 😂 over three hundred yards on the ground is going to shift your numbers a little
Every week we face a "rising" or "top" defense, the next week that defense wasn't shit, and the *next* one will be the true test

Quick snap is the direct enemy of disguised coverage, and Ben LOVES quick snap
“I think Todd Bowles will serve Caleb Williams and the Bears offense a slice of humble pie.” 👀👀 #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears
