The death penalty does little to deter crime or deliver justice for victims.
It has no place in the 21st century and should be abolished.

⚫ This is how news of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center reached the Vatican

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the impact of that day continues to be felt by the first responders who risked their lives and the families who stood beside them. Firefighter Robert Wallen was among those who responded to the World Trade Center, working tirelessly to rescue people trapped in the debris. Within two years, exposure at Ground Zero led to a diagnosis of blood cancer and a bone marrow transplant. Although the transplant was successful, Robert was left permanently disabled and uncertain how he would provide for his family and send his three children to college.
In gratitude for Robert’s sacrifice and service, the Knights of Columbus and its scholarship foundation stepped forward, helping provide each of his children with the opportunity to pursue a college education — a lasting commitment to a family that had already given so much.
