There’s not a real problem with “not calling out the gender binary as false being wrong”. It’s mostly just a way for people to just be themselves and try to live the way that feels right for them.
Replying to @xwanyex
It's more of a leftist/far left position, not a liberal one. But many liberals are afraid to call it out as totally wrong.
People just don’t respond to his acting style. Snyder cultists largely exaggerate his abilities since abdy and de Luca screwed him over with the return to the role.
Maybe it will be the first time he’s turned in an interesting performance

This is all very cool and everything but as soon as you know it’s short stunt doubles you are not able to unsee it even in the quick cuts scene. Bringing up the Peter Jackson example is a perfect example of a great use of old school cinema magic that I have never spotted.
Nolan gave Matt Damon a 4-foot-6 woman as his stunt double, and she's the whole reason the giants in The Odyssey look like monsters.
Her name is Devyn Dalton, she's a stuntwoman from Vancouver, and in the shots where the giants tower over Odysseus, that's her in the armor. The giants are real stunt performers around 7 feet tall. There are no digital monsters here, it was all shot in camera.
The trick is called forced perspective, and it works because a camera only has one eye. With one eye your brain has no way to judge distance, so it guesses size from how much of the screen something takes up. Stand a 7-foot guy close to the lens and a 4-foot-6 woman way back on the same line, and your brain just assumes they're standing next to each other. So one of them has to be a giant.
I ran the math on this and it surprised me. The height difference only gets you about 1.5x, since 84 inches next to 54 isn't that dramatic. To get a giant who looks four times Odysseus's size, the double has to stand about 2.6 times farther from the camera than he does, so most of that monster is really just distance.
And this is a hard thing to pull off on the camera Nolan chose. Both actors have to be in sharp focus at the same time, one right up near the lens and one way in the back, and the bigger your film, the harder that gets for the same shot. The Odyssey is the first movie ever shot entirely on IMAX film, the biggest film format there is, and he did this sequence in a gray pine forest in Scotland. He basically picked the toughest camera on the planet for this trick and made it work anyway.
Peter Jackson used the same geometry about 25 years ago to turn grown men into hobbits for Lord of the Rings. Nolan added wires and a bunch of 7-foot guys in armor, and Damon has said the shots of giants looming over him are his double. One of the movie's posters even shows Odysseus squaring up to the giants, and yep, that's Dalton too.
That forest is Culbin, up on Scotland's Moray coast, and it has its own creepy backstory. A sandstorm back in 1694 buried a whole estate there under sand dunes, and the pine trees you see in the movie are growing right on top of it.
It's Nolan's most expensive movie at $250 million, and the scariest monsters in it come down to which stunt performer is standing closer to the camera.
“I am a Snyder cultist who pretends to be objective” we know kiddo

Padme’s medical droid: She just lost the will to live.
Me (there for some reason): Wait, what? That’s not a thing.
Droid: Good catch—You’re right, my first diagnosis of “lost her will to live” was incorrect. She actually had a massive cerebral hemorrhage.
These people will never say things like this out loud, because if they did they’d realize how insufferable they sound and never tweet like this again. “You’re not supposed to-” actually there’s not any rules. You can just do whatever
I like the example he provides as a counterpoint, where characters speak their feelings aloud, which happens many times in his favorite movie lol
