Put everything I've learnt building my trading bot into one article.
What's worked, what's gone badly wrong, the fixes, and why I reckon every trader should try building one, even if it's just to see how emotional their own trading is.
Closed out $INJ here
Round two on $INJ. In at 7.749 with more limit orders sat lower at 7.65 and 7.57, in case it wants to dip towards last week's low first.
Daily's still up on my indicator and it's just put in a bullish SFP off the lows. Stop's under last week's low at 7.387, target 9.30 just under last week's high, about 4.3R from here and better if the lower orders fill.
Last time I longed $INJ it ran to full TP for 3.2R, same target this time. Would you be adding down here?
Stops to entry on this, being careful today incase we get big moves.
Shorted $AVAX at 9.023. It poked above Monday's high this morning and couldn't hold it, so my indicator's flagged a bearish SFP, and the daily and 4h are both still pointing down.
Stop's above that wick at 9.247, target 7.749 just above the demand underneath, about 5.7R.
Watching algorand:native for a short up at 0.10597, right under yesterday's high. Daily and 4h are both bearish on my indicator, and it's expecting a sweep of that high before the next move down.
It's been one of the weaker ones too, down about 8% since last Wednesday while $BTC's only off about 3%.
Stop just above Friday's high at 0.10942, target 0.09242 under the demand, so nearly 4R.
Small size on this one with the Fed tonight. Seen any other alts looking this weak?
GM!
$BTC pushed up to 81.8k this morning, its highest since Friday, after spending most of yesterday around 80k. $ETH's back up at 2.37k too.
Chip stocks have won back all of last Thursday's drop, and $PEPE's the standout, up about 16% on the day.
$GRASS hit full TP last night for 4R and $INJ's still running with the stop in profit.
Bot was flat yesterday, its BNB long covered the $BTC short that got stopped when it went over 81k.
Fed day today. If I see a setup I might take it, but I'll be going in with caution.
What's everyone expecting from Warsh tonight?
That's me done for the day, and it's been a good day 🫡.
$GRASS ran to full TP for 4R this evening, about 8 hours after it filled on the dip this morning. $INJ's still going with the stop in profit and $CRV got stopped out for a small win earlier.
Breakout accounts are sitting almost 3% up now, really happy with how it's going <3
Fed tomorrow at 6pm, so we'll see what Warsh has to say.

Grass hit our full tp! <3
Looking to long $GRASS on a dip to 0.6718, just above yesterday's low. Daily's still pointing up and the 1h is pulling back into demand, so I'd rather catch the bottom of this pullback than buy the middle of it.
Stop's under the demand at 0.6545, target 0.7411 right at last week's high, about 4R.
It ran about 28% off last week's low before this pullback, so a breather here makes sense.
The Fed hiked in September for the first time since 2023, and the next decision's Wednesday at 6pm UK.
Most are expecting a hold this time, but their own forecasts point to one more hike before the year's out, so it's what Warsh says about December at 6.30 that'll move things. Microsoft and Alphabet report after the US close that night too.
Thursday 12.30pm we get US GDP and PCE, the inflation number the Fed watches most, and Amazon reports that evening.
Friday's the Bank of Japan and a big monthly $BTC options expiry at 8am, then the US midterms are next Tuesday.
If inflation comes in hot that December hike gets more likely, and crypto doesn't tend to like that. $BTC's been sat around 80k since the weekend waiting on it all.
Which one are you watching most?
Closed 30% on $GRASS

A 90/10 profit split means nothing if you can’t withdraw your profits.
A cheap challenge means nothing if the rules change when you’re already funded.
And a $200K account means nothing if the firm won’t pay you.
Stop choosing prop firms based on discounts and account sizes.
Start choosing them based on how they treat profitable traders.
That’s where the real difference is 👀
$CRV took my stop in profit earlier, dipped just under my entry to take out the lows and it's already back above it.
I still think this one runs if the market can stay stable, so my order's back in at 0.3312. Daily's still bullish on my indicator, it's just the 1h that needs to turn.
Same stop under the demand at 0.3195 and same target 0.4043, about 6R.
Fed's tomorrow at 6pm UK so that's the big if. Would you go again on it or leave it?
Update on the three longs. $CRV and $GRASS both dipped into my orders like I wanted and $INJ's pushing back up towards 8.
Stops are in profit on all three now, so worst case I walk away green. CRV's target is still 0.4043, GRASS 0.7411 and INJ 9.30.
Breakout accounts are doing well too with all 3 trades running on both accounts <3

Watching fellow brits demand someone be hung drawn and quartered for queue jumping makes me proud to be British.

You can trade a $100K account for a one-off $330, and the most you can ever lose is that $330. That's a prop firm, and here's how to get the most out of one.
How it works is simple. You pay for an evaluation, hit the profit target without breaking the rules, and you pass. Then you get a funded account the same size with the same rules, and when you make money you request a payout and keep 80-90% of it. On Breakout the evaluation's one phase, so there's no second test after you pass.
Why bother? Because your own account's only as big as your savings, and theirs goes up to $200K.
The reason I use Breakout is the rules are simple. There's a daily loss limit and a max drawdown and that's it, no consistency rule, no minimum days, no time limit. The max drawdown's static too, so it stays where it started instead of creeping up behind you as you make money, though there's still a daily limit to respect like anywhere. You can trade crypto 24/7 plus indices, oil and silver, payouts are on demand from $50, and it's backed by Kraken.
Now, how to actually pass it.
Pick your size first. The $100K is where risking 1% gives you a number worth the effort, and most people who start smaller end up buying a bigger one anyway.
Work out your two limits in dollars, not percentages, and stick them on your monitor. With a 3% daily limit on a $100K account that's $3K for the day. Those two numbers are your whole rulebook.
Day one, take one clean setup at 0.5-1% risk. It's not about progress, it's about feeling the rules with something real on the line. After that only take your best setups, and if it's a red day, stop early. Protecting the account is progress too.
What catches most people out is the last stretch. When you're 1% from the target it stops feeling like a test and starts feeling like money, and that's when people either freeze or force one big trade. Keep the same size and the same rules and finish it the way you started.
Once you pass, the firm's rules don't change but yours might. There's a payout sitting there and suddenly you want to size up. Halve your risk for the first couple of weeks while your head catches up, and take a small withdrawal early, even $50, just to see the money land. Once you've done it the itch goes.
And if it goes wrong, you lose the fee and that's it. Most people who fail don't fail on bad analysis, they take a loss and then a bigger trade to win it back. It's the cheapest lesson you'll ever get on where your discipline breaks.
I'm running two Breakout accounts myself right now. What's stopped you trying one so far?

Got tapped in bang on 3312! <3
Looking to long $CRV down at 0.3312, under last week's low where all the stops are sat. Trend's up on the 1h and the daily, so I want it to sweep those lows into the demand underneath.
Stop's under the demand at 0.3195, target 0.4043 just under last week's high, about 6R.
It's given back most of last week's run up to 0.41, so I'm happy to sit and wait for it.
