This post stemmed from conversations at my local arcade with patrons that sound like this: “Woah! Do you compete?” “Yeah I was just in (city) the other weekend!” “Did you win?” “Yeah I won!” “How much money do you win like, $25,000?” “LOL no”

I want to be clear that this post was in NO WAY meant to be snide toward any event organizers or events. I shouldn’t have referred to Accelerate (a WONDERFUL tournament) in regards to what the costs/payout were and I’m grateful that these events even happen in the first place.

I think we all know that dance gamers aren’t competing for the money and any prizes won are a nice little extra bonus in our pockets. Truly I am not disappointed with these events nor their payouts and I apologize for my wording making it seem like that.
