Dear Evangelicals,
You raised an entire generation of church kids like me to not use “replacement words” for cussing, like “frick” or “geez.”
You should be the last ones to say “Let’s Go Brandon.”

Apparently, thousands of Romanians have been waiting in their personal vehicles to pick up #refugees at one of the NE borders with #Ukraine.
I'm not often elated at news from back home, but this makes my heart swell. #StandWithUkriane #standwithrefugees

Reflecting on pastoring for 25 yrs:
With a therapist, I cataloged all the folks that ghosted me (almost 100 over the yrs).
Spend time in their homes, baptize their kids, cry with them in tragedy, counsel them through crisis.
Then vamoosh they're gone. It's a painful calling.

Our hospitals are taking in more patients than we have beds. Treating strokes, cancer and car accidents is becoming a daily challenge. What can you do to help? Get vaccinated. Get boosted. Get tested. Get masked. iuhealth.org/covid19

The Lord’s not playing. God help us if we are stupid enough to keep playing, politicking, deceiving, scheming, sheltering, manipulating, gas-lighting, exploiting, abusing & feigning innocency, doing everything under heaven in his name but actually submitting in humility to him.

Important: CDC finds that vaccines prevent Covid infection. That means once you're vaccinated, you're much less likely to get sick AND to spread the virus to others. Getting vaccinated can save your life and the lives of people around you.

It’s not too late for a new start. It may be scary as heck. But it’s not too late. I find that, over & over in this pilgrimage home, Jesus finds one way or another to scribble a question in the dirt: “Do you trust me? Then follow me.” But where are you going, Lord? “Come & see.”
