I'm thrilled to announce that with the upcoming Spider-Man '94 Annual #1, I will be returning to the world of Spider-Man. After 30 years, I'm finally getting to resolve the ending of my iconic animated series and tell the story of Peter finding Mary Jane. I want to thank everyone involved at Marvel for making this possible, especially my editor, Danny Khazem. I was given free rein to tell the story that I've always wanted to tell, and it has been a real blast!

Today we celebrate '60 Years of Mary Jane Watson' with a special tribute to @DespopArt, John Romita, Sr., and - of course - MJ! 🥰 'The Amazing Spider-Man' 42 was published by Marvel with an official release date of 9 August 1966 (and a cover date of November 1966 😉). Written by Stan Lee, the very last panel featured MJ's debut - beautifully and unforgettably penciled by John Romita Sr. - with her legendary line, "Face it, tiger - you just hit the jackpot!" 🕸️ Here we present our version of a variant cover for the 'Mary Jane - Face It Tiger' one-shot, released this week to commemorate her anniversary - based on a beautiful, singular piece of art sent to us this year by our good friend, the amazingly talented Des Taylor 🎨 John Romita, Sr. originally drew MJ in her bubblebath talking on the phone with Peter back in the daily Amazing Spider-Man newspaper comic strip published on 10 June 1977! 📰 Swipe to see the sketch and full-color print by Des, and the original JR strip 😊 Happy Birthday to MJ, many thanks to Des, and best to everyone out there who shares our love for our favorite Redhead and her Webhead! 💋❤️🕸️
