Meditation with a focus on the point between your eyebrows, or simply lifting your eyes upward and pulling focus upward, opens the middle to upper energy pathways.
As you continue to meditate everyday and slowly increase the intensity and the time you sit in meditation, this upward energy pathway becomes more natural, and after months of meditation may even become the primary energy pathway.
Once this becomes the primary energy pathway, semen retention becomes something that you don't put effort into, it becomes flow , natural , since the urges drop or almost disappear, provided you are not watching any unnecessary explicit content that triggers the re-activation of your middle to low pathways.

I think you can tap into it faster if your internal nodes are open and you absorb things quickly and at a better rate. It feels like merging with the universe with every cell of your body
