This is a gutting loss. I met D’Angelo, who I knew as Michael, through his A&R, Gary Harris, in 1992. We became inseparable for about a year. He’s the greatest artist I’ve ever known, but he was also a beautiful man, brimming with humor, tenderness, and love.

“Kings Never Die” by Eminem ft. Gwen Stefani, from the Southpaw soundtrack, blends Em’s intense lyricism with Gwen’s soaring chorus. Themes of legacy & perseverance make it a standout. Gwen revealed Em called her while she was driving her kids to soccer to discuss the track!
