In the OECD's most recent Environmental Performance Review of Ireland, transport was reported as the main energy user in Ireland responsible for 20% of GHG emissions with 74% of total journeys in Ireland being made by private car according to the 2019 National Travel Survey.
With the DLR Active Travel Testbed, we are very excited to starting exploring interventions in both these areas with projects relating to both expanding and improving cycle parking and investigating cycle freight solutions in DLR.
