Chris ..eight one hour sessions over eight weeks (with homework). We will make it available on podcasts too. We do need to grow the global GI expertise in the climate area.
#FGdebate
We are on the edge of major change in the profession. Global GI leaders are ready to engage. We also now know the barriers ..one of the main ones is lack of knowledge and we need to fix that. WGO hopes to run course for GI and climate leaders starting in January.

Driving is a huge problem. 150g CO2/kg..we cannot ignore the parking lot
#FGdebate
For sure we have an extra responsibility as HCP. The public and politicians look to us for a lead on these issues.
#FGdebate
What are the emissions associated with an upper endoscopy? How many kg of CO2e?

travel related environmental cost will also vary by country.Very different travel miles in Canada versus the UK
Benefit of face to face likely varies with career stage. There are times when networking is more important than others.
All GI societies who are holding annual meetings need to factor in the environmental cost. Measure it and commit to reducing it in the most impactful way. #fgdebate
