Tonight's announcement comes as a surprise to #EPSB. School divisions were not consulted on this shift. If we were, #EPSB would have shared the desire to move slowly, to listen to parents, to listen to boards.

Thank you to all of the donors who made this portrait of our school namesake, created by local artist Tom Menczel, possible. It will inspire students for generations to come! @winsettcentre @epsbnews @NathanIpYEG @WISESTualberta instagram.com/p/CVjrmyvga2C/…

Tx to parents, students & staff who spoke loudly & clearly about wanting protocols to continue. Board voted to advocate for testing, contract tracing, self-isolation, mandatory masking, cohorts and screening. You also helped shape #EPSB plan to make masks mandatory. Thank you.

The emails continue to roll in advocating for a continuation of COVID protocols in #EPSB schools. I hear you and I agree. School divisions are in a position where we have to wait to see what gov't re-entry plan is before we can announce our own. The waiting is tough. #abed #yeg

Thanks to everyone who shared concerns on the draft K-6 curriculum with #EPSB. Concerns included: content, age appropriateness & how it doesn’t align with the board’s draft anti-racism & equity policy. #EPSB won’t be piloting it. #abed #yeg cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/…

As we consider the continuing impact of COVID-19 on how we organize for instruction, #EPSB schools don't plan to participate in voluntary curriculum testing starting in Sept. We'll review the curriculum and provide feedback. Statement from Superintendent: bit.ly/31DNXP5

Thanks again for the opportunity, @skillsalberta & supporting sponsors! Our grade nines really enjoyed the hands-on experience and working with one another through the human-centered design approach. The Chindogu idea was an excellent challenge!

A big thank you to Finning Canada, our presenting sponsor for Skills Exploration Days. We are so excited that with their support we were able to find a way to keep our junior high students connected while they learn new skills! #ABisSkilled
