Nowhere I’d rather be on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 than with my dear sister @FlyingWithSara and the flight attendants of @afa_cwa and @APFAunity, remembering their friends who were on UA flights 93 & 175 and AA flights 11 & 77.

Grateful to @NYCMayor and @DMJulieSu for the opportunity to honor working people on 9/11. Our union sister Yvette Cumberbatch worked as a security officer in the World Trade Center and spoke to the bravery of her fellow security officers, window cleaners, and building cleaners.

“Opening a business in this city can feel like the Odyssey. You know where you're trying to get, but there’s an endless maze of challenges, one more agency, one more form and when you think you’re almost there there’s one more monster you didn’t know you had to get by.” -@DMJulieSu with @NYCMayor
Whoever wrote these Mamdani remarks had a lot of fun. And whoever came up with these pro small business, anti (bad) regulation policies, delivered by a socialist mayor, is smart. Folks can scream about evil Mamdani on this site, but in real life he’s showing us why he’s winning

At our city-owned grocery stores, staples like eggs and bread will actually be affordable. And we're going to do it the right way, without cutting workers' pay or dignity. Because in the wealthiest city in this country, buying groceries shouldn't be an unsolvable equation. It should be simple, fair, and within reach for everyone.

DCWP secured over $875,000 for more than 380 NYC restaurants overcharged by third-party delivery app Hungry Panda.   In some cases, HungryPanda overcharged immigrant business owners thousands of dollars in junk fees.   DCWP is proud to stand up to money hungry corporations 🐼

Today, @NYCMayor released the long-awaited preliminary Racial Equity Plan and True Cost of Living measure. It’s clear that when communities of color are denied investment and stability, it drives up costs and weakens the foundations everyone depends on.

Today I attended the Triangle Shirtwaist commemoration -- honoring 146 mostly immigrant women who lost their lives in the 1911 fire. Their deaths weren't just a tragedy. They were the result of workers having no voice, no power, and no protection. That fight isn't over.

Grateful to join @NYCMayor, @Ali_Najmi, @nyctaxi, and @nytwa for a beautiful iftar. In a city powered by working people, moments like this remind us what community, dignity, and solidarity look like in practice.

In 2015, Chinatown Tenants Union helped win the first rent freeze in 46 years. In 2026, @DMJulieSu and @caaav are spreading the word about our Rental Ripoff Hearings to working-class families in Chinatown who are once again facing rising costs and housing instability.
Tomorrow's Rental Ripoff Hearing is at capacity, but we want every voice to be heard. Submit your testimony or register to attend a future hearing at rentalripoffs.nyc.gov
