Having sat in meetings with Rishi Sunak it’s defiantly the case that #localgov just got a boost in terms of future funding. However, sector arguments need to demonstrate a) bigger quantum will deliver better outcomes b) any new funding will have to come with #fairfunding

When I met with @RSunak last year I was impessed by his thoroughness in preparation and excellent grasp of issues surrounding digital collaboration across councils.
Congratulations to @RishiSunak on his meteoric rise to become Chancellor. He was fantastic @themjcouk 125th celebrations in parliament last year.

Really interesting article. Unlocking data that drives policy decisions is key. Sometimes this us a real challenge to politicians who like to do what they believe and not what the evidence suggests

Many rural communities have suffered from a lack of mobile coverage. Anything that improves this will be welcome.
Good to talk to Gloria Hunniford on #ripoffbritain Live this morning about the proposed Shared Rural Network aiming boost rural mobile coverage. All of us have experienced coverage dropping out, desperately seeking that extra bar of signal!
Digital transformation has been recognised by many councils such as @PublicaGroup and @LOTI_LDN as an area for collaboration. Many more may soon need to rethink their current approaches

I would encourage Cllrs to attend so that they can push their authorities to do more to use new technologies to deliver better quicker and simpler services for residents
