Florida’s colleges and universities offer world-class opportunities for learning, research, and career pathways. We have enacted reforms to eliminate ideological indoctrination and strengthen accountability measures. At the same time, Florida boasts the lowest in-state tuition rates in the nation—and there has been zero increases during my administration.
We’ve ignored the noise and focused on merit, and the results speak for themselves. Today, we led the way in answering the call from the Department of Education to affirm Florida’s commitment to rigorous instruction, groundbreaking research, and service to our country in higher education.
In partnership with Florida’s outstanding pro-freedom think tank, @JmsMadisonInst, Florida DOGE has released Every Dollar Justified: A Zero-Based Budgeting Handbook for Local Governments. This guide will serve as an essential resource for municipal governments looking to limit spending and deliver better value to their citizens.

Florida: the “state where DOGE is working”
zerohedge.com/political/stat…
Every state that emulates @GovRonDeSantis' success in efficient and effective conservative governance will deliver real wins for its citizens.
The State Leadership Initiative is proud to present The State DOGE Playbook—a practical blueprint for bringing the proven efficiency, accountability, and results of Florida’s DOGE initiative and other like-minded efforts to every state that is serious about reforming government and delivering for its citizens.
SLI was honored to play a small supporting role in Florida DOGE’s efforts. We saw firsthand how a focused, first-principles team—armed with the right authority, data access, and relentless execution—can cut waste, expose fraud, and restore control to elected leaders. This document exists to carry that winning blueprint forward. It equips governors, legislators, and reform-minded executives with the exact legal vehicles, team structures, analytical methods, and implementation steps needed to stand up their own state DOGE and achieve similar victories.
At SLI, our mission is simple and uncompromising: we evangelize and actively support the implementation of serious, structural government reforms that dismantle the administrative state, eliminate sacred cows, and put quality governance back in the driver’s seat.
State-level DOGE efforts are proof that when conservatives stop managing decline and start executing with boldness, real transformation follows.
We built this playbook for you. Use it. Adapt it. Win with it.

@elonmusk established @DOGE to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government—reporting $215 billion in savings.
It also inspired efficiency initiatives within state & local governments and renewed a focus on fiscal responsibility, fraud prevention, and program integrity.

In 2019 local governments in FL took in $32 billion in property tax revenue.
By 2025, the revenue had risen to more than $56 billion.

"It is the need to unwind the effects of four years of federal government that, alongside basic good government principles and the desire to build on Florida’s recent achievements, define the Florida DOGE effort." 🔥 Eric Soskin

FAFO license plate…
Thanks to @GovGoneWild for the commemorative license plate.
Glad to have a friend of the taxpayers as Florida’s CFO!
.@BrowardCounty has spent almost $900,000 on DEI training since Fiscal Year 2020, including training that pushes gender fluidity and transgender ideology. Part of this training includes the “Genderbread Person,” which was used to push radical gender ideology as recently as March 2024.
Replying to @OrangeCoFL
@OrangeCoFL has given $223,000 to Zebra Youth for LGBT youth services that promote gender ideology to youth populations. One of Zebra Youth’s trademark events is “Pride Prom.”
@OrangeCoFL also paid $240,000 to a left-wing urban planning firm with policies that promote a “race, social, and healthy equity perspective.”

That’s $190M of wasteful spending in THIS years budget. That’s not a cumulative total.
Wasteful spending and misguided priorities.
The @CityofPensacola pays $150,000 per year to a management company that brings drag shows to the city-owned Saenger Theatre.
Even worse, this drag show is set to occur just one block away from "Photos with Santa" at the child-friendly Pensacola Winterfest.

Florida ranks #1 in the country for higher education because we are willing to challenge the status quo. Today at @USouthFlorida, I was proud to announce that our Florida DOGE team has worked to eliminate or repurpose tens of millions of dollars in DEI-related projects at our public universities.
Whether it’s DEI-inspired grants that privilege one race or gender over another, or HR departments that hire foreign H-1B workers when qualified Floridians are rejected, we will not tolerate discrimination against American citizens in our university system.
Florida DOGE retweeted
Universities across the country are importing foreign workers on H-1B visas instead of hiring Americans who are qualified and available to do the job. We will not tolerate H-1B abuse in Florida institutions. That’s why I have directed the Florida Board of Governors to end this practice.
Florida leads the nation in higher education, and thousands of highly qualified Americans graduate from our colleges and universities every year. If any universities are truly struggling to find U.S. citizens to fill their job openings, they ought to evaluate their academic programs to determine why they cannot produce graduates who can be hired for these positions.

Thank you, Larry Keefe, for your service to Florida and your leadership of the Florida State Board of Immigration Enforcement (@FLSBIE).
Illegal immigrants have burdened Florida’s taxpayers to the tune of more than $8 billion per year, including:
$1.6 billion on K-12 education
$660 million on hospital visits
$228 million on in-state tuition waivers
$123 million on Medicaid coverage
Enforcing our immigration laws saves taxpayers in the long term. Under @GovRonDeSantis, taxpayers will not foot the bill for those who break our laws and come here illegally.

Great presentation by CFO @GovGoneWild Blaise Ingoglia on how @CityofMiami residents have been overtaxed $94 million.
“Government doesn’t have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem”
Cutting wasteful spending can offset homestead property taxes.

When woke companies control the flow of information, you get censorship.
We’ve been down this road before, when Silicon Valley oligarchs banned President @realDonaldTrump.
The far-left has become #1 ENEMY of free speech.
@AnthropicAI banning @DOGEFla proves it.
This morning, the Florida DOGE Team was banned by @AnthropicAI without any warning or justification. This comes as Florida DOGE has used AI to augment our efforts to identify wasteful spending and woke DEI initiatives.
@davidsacks47 and @elonmusk are correct that Anthropic is "woke." @GovRonDeSantis has been spot on from the beginning—we can't allow woke Silicon Valley oligarchs to control the information we access.
