Our intern @clyeh_lun just graduated! Both @dja_vos and @jsbaan did so earlier this month (sorry, no pictures). All did really well and got marks to prove that 🎉! We will miss all of you, except for Joris. But not because we didn't like him: he will soon start in our team!

The Persgroep team started the day with filtering their data, and worked on predictive models for predicting popularity of news items. They also looked at distributions of user interactions with news items and think about similarity models that include recency.

For the case of @PersgroepAI, @mvzaanen presents the challenges in predicting "pushworthy" articles. They work on 4 topics: (1) information from the clickstream, (2) try to create a gold standard, (3) properties of the content, (4) how to evaluate. Problem is really challenging!
