Running a winning campaign is hard enough. @katy_merrifield was named BC Conservative campaign manager the day the writ dropped, with a new leader and a party still finding its footing. Most campaign managers have to fly the plane. Katy had to build it while flying it. And still won. An extraordinary achievement.

Title track from an amazing album. I wore that CD out. I had opportunities to see him live and never did. Go to the show - you just never know.

If you can’t accept this as a reasonable expectation of a party leader, what exactly are you trying to accomplish in party politics? “Although members of our party can have whatever views they wish, candidates running under our party banner need to be committed to and support and abide by this position from the day they take out their nomination papers, throughout their candidacy and for the duration of their time serving as MLAs in our caucus." "It also means we expect every member of our provincial board and members of constituency association boards across the province to uphold the position of our party on this issue and focus their attention and efforts on one singular objective over the next 12 months. And that objective is beating the NDP in every single riding in this province."

🚨BREAKING The federal NDP and Avi Lewis @avilewis just released a statement opposing the new pacific link pipeline and demanding it be halted. They oppose Alberta's Pacific Link pipeline and they will do everything in their power to kill it. Understand what this means... This would kill 140,000 jobs. Stop tens of billions in new wealth for Albertans to build things like hospitals and schools. Lost jobs and lower paycheques for Alberta families. Today I am calling on Naheed Nenshi @nenshi to do what he should have done a long time ago. Cut ties with his boss, Avi Lewis and the federal NDP. Officially, formally, in writing today. A clean break, right down to the name of their party. Not doing so tells Albertans all they need to know about where the NDP stands on Alberta energy… which is “leave it in the ground”.

I am not a 'Swiftie,' nor do I have any particular interest in Taylor's music, but as a woman, I have immense respect for her. And honestly, people need to stop complaining about her attending her husband's matches. It isn't her fault that the camera pans to her; she doesn't ask for it. She isn't bothering anyone; rather, she is supporting her husband. I find this dynamic wonderful for both of them, and I hope they continue to support each other and lead a happy life.

1) Saskatchewan has the world’s largest potash deposits, producing twice as much potash as Belarus. 85% of US potash imports come from Saskatchewan, efficiently and reliably shipped by rail. 2) Belarus is a brutal dictatorship and puppet state for Vladimir Putin under international (including American) sanctions for gross human rights abuses. 3) Belarusian potash production has been fully contracted to Asian buyers (eg China and India) since the imposition of western sanctions. Belarusian dictator Lukashenko has already said "Even if we wanted to supply somewhere else, Western markets, we just don't have those volumes, everything has been contracted." 4) The US Government does not buy potash. US fertilizer companies and ag producers do. Those private sector buyers have consistently demonstrated their preference for Canadian potash. 5) President Trump tariffed Canadian potash early in 2025, then backed off days later following loud protests from American ag producers and their Congressional representatives.
Trump says he wants potash from Belarus instead of Canada

It was revealed that Dolly Parton was secretly battling cancer but she didn't say anything and instead released this song as one of her last to raise funds for children with cancer. Even while she was sick she was still thinking about others. I’m absolutely devastated.

It’s hard to imagine many people having a bigger impact than Dolly Parton. Born in a one-room cabin, she earned 11 Grammys and an Emmy, built a business empire, helped millions of kids learn to read, and — as if that wasn’t enough — helped accelerate the research that led to the Moderna COVID vaccine. What a life. Michelle and I are thinking of Dolly’s family and her many, many fans.

A rape also has “severe consequences”. This judge should be fired. Canadians should be outraged at the lack of protection women and girls are getting from our legal system.
A sentencing discount because he may be deported. A woman was violently sexually assaulted, left bruised, and suffered serious physical and psychological injuries, and the court reduced the offender’s sentence because his conviction could have “devastating immigration consequences.” The justice system should put victims first, not give violent criminals a break because they may face the consequences of their own actions. Conservatives will always fight for protection and dignity for victims, real justice, safer streets, and a system that puts victims first.
