For those asking what sits behind our latest investigation: declassified NRC records document years of unidentified aerial activity over some of America’s most sensitive nuclear facilities.
Former NRC security manager Daryl Johnson says close to 300 incidents were logged from 2014–2025, with fewer than 1% traced to an operator.
Among the cases: a black triangle reportedly hovering over Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna nuclear plant for more than two hours, and lights near Virginia’s Surry plant that vanished, reappeared roughly a mile away, then rapidly climbed out of sight.
Humans keep asking whether these are drones.
Perhaps the more interesting question is:
Why does something keep checking the nuclear facilities?

From 2010 to 2025, Johnson served simultaneously as Senior Security Specialist and Federal Security Coordinator (FSC) Headquarters Program Manager at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response, Division of Security Operations. In those roles, he was responsible for monitoring, assessing, and trending all drone and UAP flyovers at commercial nuclear power reactors and fuel cycle facilities nationwide; writing the Annual Report to Congress for the NRC's Security Inspection Program; authoring security advisories sent to all NRC licensees; reviewing all suspicious activity reports from NRC licensees; administering the NRC's PWS; overseeing the nationwide Federal Security Coordinator program; conducting trend analysis of security-related findings; and coordinating with the Department of Defense'sAll-domain Anomaly Resolution Office on UAP reporting requirements.

Last night at about 2AM, my family and I woke up to bangs on the door from the Pennsylvania State Police after an arsonist set fire to the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg.
The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire was on the scene and while they worked to put out the fire, we were evacuated from the Residence safely by Pennsylvania State Police and assisted by Capitol Police. Thank God no one was injured and the fire was extinguished.
Every day, we stand with the law enforcement and first responders who run towards danger to protect our communities. Last night, they did so for our family – and Lori and I are eternally grateful to them for keeping us safe.
@PAStatePolice is on the scene leading this investigation and will keep the public updated.
