Beyond ALIEN, Skerritt’s celebrated career spanned THE DEAD ZONE (1983), THE DEVIL’S RAIN (1975), POLTERGEIST III (1988), and PICKET FENCES (1992-1996), earning him generations of admirers across genre film and television. He was 93.

Sack head Jason was always my favorite so we modeled our Axe Man after him in our homage to 2980’s woodsy slashers, A MAN IN THE WOODS WITH AN AXE. We also set the film up to be as familiar as possible but then shit goes WAY weird by the halfway point… 😜 Coming soon! 👀
Crystal Lake is like a 5/10 for me. Dug the heck out of it when it felt like an 80’s slasher. Checked out during the shit that lead to nowhere and ultimately felt like so much unnecessary filler to just make sure they had enough episodes to fill a quota. Gore FX 10/10 🩸
I like the series, but it’s slow as hell in parts and easily could have been… I don’t know… a fuckin’ 90 minute MOVIE?? Much of this stuff is pointless filler. I don’t care about the lore changes. I care about bad pacing and this thing suffers badly from slow downs.
