Quite enjoyed #bbcqt - @ZiaYusufUK of @reformparty_uk has taken a left wing panel to the cleaners all night.
Yesterday’s budget was proof @andyburnham doesn’t have a clue. And Healey, who resigned over defence spending, committed no further money for defence. The people of the UK deserve so much better than this @UKLabour shambles.

BREAKING: Andy Burnham has SOLVED the fuel crisis!
Cut fuel duty? Help hardworking families? Don’t be ridiculous!
Labour’s genius solution is… OPEN GOOGLE MAPS!
Next week, can’t afford your dinner? Just Google a picture of a pie.
Absolute economic masterminds!
Super rich…. Miles apart from the hardworking folk!
80 days in and @andyburnham has already shown he’s out of his depth and has no mandate. He has no control of govt spending, no control of our borders, no plan for defence spending. His answers of cosying up to Germany and France (who are in turmoil) and google maps are baffling.

I trade with the EU. I import from Slovakia, Germany and Sweden.
I export back to every EU country as well as many others worldwide.
I don't recognise your assertion of "We’ve put barriers to trade with our biggest market"
My imports come in with no issues and I'm a small business with no specialists to handle - it's just easy and no additional charges.
My exports also go out just as easily. I have to set up a customs invoice now, but it's just the same as I do to RoW.
Sure there are some sticky consignments every now and again, but that's just because some of the logistics handling in countries like Spain and Bulgaria can still be a bit 3rd world and it used to happen pre Brexit.
Perhaps your impression is due to limited experience in a niche sector, or perhaps it's just a narrative picked up from the circle of Europhiles you move in.
But overall, trade from Brexit is unaffected as far as my experience is concerned as are costs.
But it's fair to say following the wishes expressed in 2016 and then re-affirmed in the 2019 General Election, that we still have a political and establishment class who haven't got a clue or an inclination to roll up their sleeves and take advantage of the opportunities voters gave them.
Well worth a read as @AllisterHeath pinpoints 2 decades of failed government in this country.
If you want to comprehend the scale of Britain’s decline, our economic, geopolitical and technological humiliation, the magnitude of the self-sabotage inflicted upon our nation by our incompetent political class, head to one of America’s booming Republican-run Red States.

It’s the anniversary of one of the greatest goals of the 90s.
It’s not Bergkamp, Shearer or Yeboah.
Oh no. It’s Big Danny Dichio at Molineux, 1996.
He’s got no business shooting from there…

Job vacancies for graduates have dropped 45% in a year. @UKLabour have inflicted terrible damage on the young with Reeves’ job tax, just as @Conservatives did 5 years ago when they shut schools.

BREAKING NEWS
At 2.30am this morning a boat carrying 230 people was taken into Dover.
This is a record number in a single vessel.
It’s yet more proof that this illegal invasion is a national security emergency.

The economy is broken.
Labour battered workers and businesses with £66bn of tax rises.
Now Burnham says people will have to pay *more* in tax. But won’t say which ones.
No one voted for this.

Someone tell @DannyVet that @Nigel_Farage is not the PM. Five tweets today about Mr Farage and yet not a peep about Andy Burnham and the staged by-election in Makerfield. Maybe the Lib Dems have forgotten they’re in opposition and are happy not holding Labour to account?

A welcoming present just out this morning for a Mr A Burnham to underline just how limited his latitude as PM will be:
The UK government borrowed £23.3 billion last month, 30 per cent or £5.4 billion higher than a year earlier.
It was also more than the £18.8 billion expected by most economists and the £17.7 billion forecast by the Office for Budget Responsibility, the UK’s independent fiscal watchdog.
The interest payable on government debt rose to £11.7 billion, the highest ever recorded in any May.

I get why he’s striking this tone, but it sounds like a bloke whose wife is carrying on with the Pilates instructor and he’s the last to know.
Congratulations, @AndyBurnhamGM, Labour’s new MP for Makerfield.
Voters chose Labour’s campaign of hope and optimism over division and hate.
