A music instrumental of Billy Joel’s “She’s Always a Woman” plays on in the debris of the deserted Austin J Tobin Plaza on September 11th, 2001 in this lost footage which was discovered only a few years ago.
Truly haunting images of a day many can never forget.

This footage was taken by Jack Taliercio, a photographer with WNYW, the Fox affiliate in New York. It aired at the time of the attacks.
The full unedited video has been available since 2009 through an FOIA request for media used by the NIST in its WTC investigation.

A heart-breaking moment captured in an SS photograph of a group of Hungarian Jews at Auschwitz II-Birkenau in or around May 1944.
A child found a flower & is giving or showing it to an older boy.
All the people in the picture were murdered in a gas chamber moments later.
