I want to first thank @davidsonday for the opportunity to lead this program the last 2 seasons. I canโt put into words how grateful I am for the relationships I have built over the course of these last couple years. Those will last forever! Having a part in seeing multiple kids go to college and putting Davidson Day on the National Stage I couldnโt be more proud. Also very blessed to have been able to Coach some talented and exceptional kids! To my assistant coaches Coach Coble, Coach Weaver and Coach Vass you guys have done a phenomenal job of giving your time and energy to the program and forever grateful for you guys. Extremely blessed to have been a part of the Patriot family and I am excited about what comes next!

Easy to see why 2028 Xavier Hall is a Top-50 prospect in the country, as the big man simply overpowers and produces in a big way. #NCSophomore40 #PhenomHoops

5โ11 2026 Nick Arnold and 2028 Sherod McCormick have been highly effective. Interchangeable guards who set the tone on both ends of the floor. Strong shooters, reliable ball handlers, and natural leaders who elevate their team every time they step on the court. @Nick_Arnold15 @Sherodskills

Kills lead to Wโs!!!
Mike Brey calls them KILLS.
Tony Bennett calls them GAPS.
Bruce Weber calls them SHUTOUTS.
Buzz Williams calls them TURKEYS.
If you're looking for a defensive stat that is arguably the most PREDICTIVE stat in basketball, it's 3 STOPS IN A ROW.
This isn't a stat you'll find on NBA.com or basketballreference.com but according to Mike Brey, who religiously tracked 3 stops in a row, win % is ~ 90% when you accomplish this 7 TIMES in a game.
Build your defensive around stringing together consecutive stops. This allows for better scoring opportunities, gives you the ability to micro manage your defense during the game and most importantly provides a ton of ENERGY.
