Come to Eastern Orthodox church and have all your senses touched by the grace of God!☦️ #Orthodoxy
Sahih isn't sahih anymore. It doesn't matter that no other age was EVER given, everybody is wrong, even the biggest scholars saying that they agree with the Hadiths lol

Before yall bring up Aisha stop falling for unreliable hadiths and hadiths in general I don't believe in that bullshit so if you try to debunk me using Hadith don't bother replying
Being present in a Church with this level of hatred and vitriol, but I was advised to forget about the people online, to actually go to liturgy and learn. I messaged the parish near me and I had all my questions answered, I saw the love and grace that I always felt
When I was first looking into Orthodoxy there was a huge topic online and unfortunately some were overly vocal and too unapologetic about things that aren't quite as dogmatic as they believe. It almost made me just want to leave, I couldn't see the truth of God
Online Orthodoxy can be a mess, I can understand the zeal, but some of these people tend to forget that they are attaching the church that Jesus built upon their words and then speak so carelessly. If it wasn't for my spiritual father, there is no telling where I would be at 🧵

@Ali10Amer a quick video I made on the topic, I probably will do more with it because you certainly aren't the first to talk about it, probably won't be the last
Restricted before I got to reply? Anyways yes turkey is officially a secular government, socially is a different ballgame. You have apostasy still being punished through various means on a social level including up to torture and murder.

Good grief! Some people need to log off and just focus on Church. That includes me. It's why I am gone quite often for bouts at a time.
Apparently I can't comment anymore, but hopefully, Ali, you can see this quote tweet. What exactly is the dilemma supposed to be? It seems to be more of a through argument, rather than a dilemma. I wouldn't mind taking a crack at it
We have all seen the Tri-une Trilemma, a 3D thorne in the spine of Christian/Trinitarian theology, but it is now time for us to address the Christian Dilemma.
The Christian Dilemma of (Matthew23:3), attested for in academia and scholarship by highly reputable Christian scholars and thinkers and with compelling reason.
(Pre-Amble): The use of the principle of Totum Pro Parte (إطلاق الكل على الجزء) which the Qur'an uses consistently, is the only real way to solve this Dilemma for Christians, but accepting this principle would serve as another automatic NUKE to the so called Christian Corruption Conundrum they falsely label "Islamic Dilemma", and I will explain this in a separate tweet but let us get back to the academically attested Christian Dilemma of (Matthew 23:3)
The verse shows Jesus (pbuh) saying "Listen to EVERYTHING the pharisees say" and it justified this by saying they "Sit on the throne of Moses", a parable for saying they give out the correct law he himself confirmed on a daily basis as part of his legacy, as he chastised them for following their traditions rather than this law that Moses was entrusted with.
He then immediately says "but do not do as they do", and he goes on to VERY aggressively them in a blistering tirade with a barrage of INSULTS and very demeaning language, which is completely contrasts not just the compassionate, gentle, loving manner of Jesus pbuh, but it completelt contrasts what he just said in the same verse, that they "sit on the throne of Moses"
Some of the "Seven woes" or the insults her hurled at them:
- Insults: Repeatedly calls them "hypocrites," "blind guides," "fools," and "snakes/brood of vipers."
- The "Son of Hell" charge: He tells them that their religious converts become "twice as much a child of hell" as they are.
- He uses the dreadfully cynical analogy of "Whitewashed Tombs" to compare them with beautiful graves that are actually "full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness" inside
- He explicitly accuses them of having the same corrupt spirit as their ancestors who murdered the prophets (Such as Micah, Isaiah, Zachariah, Jeremiah, Uriah and more recently, John the Baptist)
Christian scholars such as Heinz Dietrich Kommel highlights the severe tension in this chapter.
Scholars look at Matthew 23 and note that this intense, unfiltered anger feels like a massive shift away from the gentle, loving persona of Jesus found in passages like the Sermon on the Mount. One may argue this fits the character of Paul of Tarsus, who began his journey by ki11ing apostle stephen (Acts 22:20) and "Obsessed" over torturing Christians into blaspheming against Christ pbuh (Acts 26:11)
Because the rhetoric is so harsh, some historians and biblical scholars argue that the historical Jesus may not have spoken quite this aggressively. They suggest the "Zealous Polemic" phrasing might reflect the anger of the early Christian community (the Evangelist Matthew and his church) decades later, writing at a time when Christians and mainstream Pharisees were locked in a bitter, hostile rivalry for the soul of Judaism.
----------
More evidence of the Christian Dilemma being in Christian scholarship:
John Calvin, the co-founder of Protestant Christianity which Dr Logic follows, commented on it saying "tyranny over consciousness" if you take the literal word and listen to everything the Pharisees say, and you will "Despise the doctrine" if you ignore everything they say.
Source: Commentary on a Harmony of the Evangelists, Matthew, Mark, and Luke (Volume 3) [Commentary on a Harmony of the Evangelists] by John Calvin (Translated by William Prague) Section: Commentary on Matthew 23:1–7 [Commentary on a Harmony of the Evangelists].
Heinz-Dietrich Kümmel, one of the top 10 biblical scholars of the 20th century, said "zealous polemic in Matthew 23 distorts the reality and spirit of Jesus.", attributing the verse to a "Zealous Polemic" (evangelist) who wrote it like that.

Good morning. Go to Divine Liturgy at local Orthodox Church this Sunday morning ☦️📿
This is not the argument any Muslim should make. Anthropological studies confim that biologically speaking, a 9 year old starting puberty is not biologically ready for the consequences of what Muhammad did. The beginning of puberty is not a safe period, even if he could "fit"

@grok is the magic 18 or higher age idea a modern idea yes or no. Dose pedophilia in modern dictionary mean attraction towards pre pubescent yes or no .And did puberty mean it all for most human history even in west? Simpe straightforward answer
