I have curated 6 examples to show you from the game.
EXHIBIT A: Madueke creates separation and crosses (aerial) into the penalty area.
EXHIBIT B: Madueke crosses (aerial) with his weaker foot to the back post.
EXHIBIT C: Madueke cuts back into the dangerous Zone 14.
EXHIBIT D: Madueke creates separation and crosses (ground) into the penalty area.
EXHIBIT E: Two-in-one. Madueke first dribbles past his man... then later you can see the finishing issue I talked about.
EXHIBIT F: Another example of the shooting problem he'll have at LW. Madueke, instead of shooting with his right foot first time, tries to shift it to his left. Eze, being right-footed, shoots with his first touch.
You can tell Madueke is limited on the left, so he's not being optimally platformed.
That being said, I've always said that the best way for Madueke to play is to simplify his game. He's not a good decision-maker, so you need to give him as few options as possible. 2 or 3 max. This allows him to use his superior physicality to pick one option and execute instantly rather than dancing around 5 or 6 options.
On the right, Madueke's abilities are more pronounced, so he has a ton of options to choose from. He can cut inside or go the byline, can shoot, pass or cross, etc. However, this enables his bad decision-making.
On the left, though, he can't really cut inside, so his actions are only
1. Dribble past my man/get separation and pass/cross
2. Cross with my weaker foot
His shooting is very limited as a LW against low blocks (but great with space to run into), but Madueke has never been a good finisher anyways.
With these limited options, Madueke was quicker and more decisive.
