“The fact remains that some of the girls you are training now will end up not marrying you. They will marry someone who has made it further in life than you. Women of this generation don’t care anymore. The only thing that will make a woman stand by you is if you have something she doesn’t have.” — Evangelist Ebuka Obi x.com/ChuksEricE/sta…

🚨🎙️ Zlatan Ibrahimović delivers a scathing critique of Thierry Henry after the Ballon d'Or ceremony! Zlatan Ibrahimović: "Harry Kane scores 73 goals, wins the Ballon d'Or, and suddenly people start arguing about penalties and the German league. 😂 "But it seems Thierry Henry has more energy for questioning others than questioning his own behavior on that stage. "You can't spend the ceremony cracking jokes at Lamine Yamal's expense, asking him 'Is this really what you wanted?' while standing there with his own Copa trophy, and then expect everyone to pretend it was flawless hosting. "And correcting your co-host, Kate Scott, in a way that viewers found disrespectful during the Socrates Award presentation? There's a difference between knowing football and making others feel belittled just to prove you know more. "Henry has every right to prefer Mbappé or question Kane's Ballon d'Or win. Everyone has their opinion. But if you're presenting the biggest individual award in football, you should be celebrating the players, not making the ceremony all about you. "Imagine scoring goals all season long and still being told your role is too easy. Imagine winning an award and people immediately start looking for reasons you don't deserve it. Football has become a competition where everyone wants to judge the winner instead of appreciating the game. "But my biggest question is this: If Thierry Henry couldn't host the ceremony without becoming part of the controversy, why is he the one standing on that stage? "Football has enough drama on the pitch. We don't need a host creating another one off it."

Truly, the Ballon d’Or organisers need to be more consistent with their decisions. They used La Liga performances to award Lamine Yamal the Kopa Trophy over Pau Cubarsí, relied on World Cup performances to award Unai Simón the Yashin Trophy over David Raya, ignoring a whole season of club football and used Bundesliga performances to award Harry Kane the Gerd Müller Trophy over Kylian Mbappé, despite Mbappé's incredible scoring record. They also prioritised Champions League success when selecting Club of the Year, yet placed greater emphasis on international tournament success when choosing Coach of the Year over managers who delivered outstanding results at club level. So, which criteria actually matter: domestic league performances, Champions League success or international tournaments? Copied.

🚨🇫🇷🇨🇳 Chinese President Xi Jinping on Mbappé’s viral dictator meme controversy: 🗣️“I understand that Kylian Mbappé may not have fully understood the consequences of his remarks. Perhaps he saw it as an innocent joke, but not everyone will find such humour funny. “He may not have intended to disrespect China or its people. “However, intention and impact are two different things. “When you are a global figure with millions of followers, your words carry significant weight. “What appears harmless to one person may be deeply offensive to another. “I believe Mbappé was joking without fully considering how his comments would be received in China. “Nevertheless, our history and national dignity are matters we take seriously. “I hope he now understands why his remarks have generated such a strong reaction. “Famous athletes must recognise that humour can have consequences beyond their immediate surroundings. “Being a football superstar does not exempt anyone from taking responsibility for their words. “At the same time, I believe people should have the opportunity to learn from their mistakes. “I hope Mbappé reflects on this incident and understands the importance of cultural sensitivity. “An apology can be a meaningful first step towards rebuilding trust. “We do not expect everyone to understand every aspect of our culture immediately. “But we expect respect when discussing matters that are deeply important to our people. “I hope he learns from this experience, moves forward with greater understanding, and avoids a similar situation in the future.”
