Thank you to the following players @woodlandhshoops for volunteering their time yesterday at the Henry County Parks & Recreation coaches clinic. @matthewshiftyyy @Marc_cotton_28 @IraManley_2027 @Zachary_Ross_28 Mason O'Neal

Full day for Coach Cal and Coach Deuce. First we went to watch our Wolfpack program take on Langston Hughes at 9am and then at 11 am Griffin. Then we had a spirited impromptu coaches meeting over lunch so I could pick the young bulls brain about this upcoming season.

Talent gets you noticed. But coaches are studying everything else too—how hard you play, how you defend, how you communicate, your body language, how you respond to mistakes, and whether you make winning plays when the ball isn’t in your hands.

Several @woodlandhshoops players will be also volunteering their services with me. #StrengthInThePack

Weekly Leadership Wisdom "Your standard is what you do consistently, especially when nobody is making you do it." Salute to my former player and NC A&T guard Bryson Ogltree for speaking to the team today.

Lead by Example, thats my motto. Personal goals I set for myself was to be the founder of a Leadership Academy for young men, complete my Doctoral Degree and write a book using my Coaching Leadership background. #EdDCandidate #2ndYear #BiggerThanBasketball @woodlandhshoops

Average players goof around until it's their turn at practice. Better players watch whoever goes before them. Good players notice what the player did right or wrong. Great players LEARN when the coach corrects someone else... so they don't waste a rep making the same mistake.
