The fact that #Cardano sacrificed so much from its inception in the name of #decentralization, and still ended up having a Nakamoto coefficient of 15 is really shameful and sad! The fanboy in me that was so proud of all the first principles all these years is crying inside. Somehow we ended up being worse than Solana? 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Cardano's Nakamoto coefficient is 15, five times Hyperliquid's 3 and 15 times Coinbase's Base at 1.
The measure counts the fewest independent operators that together could disrupt a network.

New on our Frontier Red Team blog: using Claude to formally verify software at large scale.
Formal verification can prove that code is free of certain bugs, but historically it has only been feasible for small codebases (or required a lot of expert time).
With AI models, however, this is beginning to change. In collaboration with @theoremlabs, we used Claude to prove security properties in over one hundred real-world open-source libraries over the span of a few weeks.

However, this classification only appears in the explanation of the new crypto rules, not in the rules themselves.
Six blockchain organizations have asked the SEC to write it into the rules. We co-signed the letter, alongside @StellarOrg, @Hedera, @AptosLabs, @AvaLabs and @Chainlink.

We made Bitcoin DeFi, and it's launching in January on Pogun (pogun.io/). It's 1,000x more efficient than BitVM. We built an EVM converter, but no one used it at scale because L2S took over. So it was retired.

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok Calls #Cardano Founder Charles Hoskinson’s Tech Ideas “Light-Years Ahead”.
Grok agreed with a Cardano supporter who described Charles Hoskinson’s latest ideas as being far ahead of their time. One of Hoskinson’s recent projects, Quinelings, turns computer programs into digital creatures that can move, grow, reproduce and evolve in a simulated environment. Developers can inspect the code behind each creature to understand how it behaves.
Quinelings could help developers experiment with code and explore new ways to build AI workflows. Hoskinson has made the project’s code available on GitHub. He also recently revealed plans for a new programming language for Cardano, although it remains unclear whether the two initiatives are connected.

My mind is blown by how far ahead Apple is with local LLMs. The new Mac Studio M5 Ultra will have a 512 GB model for around 15-20k. You can chain 6 of them together using thunderbolt 5 and this have over 3 TB of ram and a massive amount of CPU and GPU cores. This means you can run a frontier model with over 2 trillion parameters locally for around 100kish. Nivida is around 500k for the same capability.
