Today marks the 3rd Anniversary of me creating Dad Needs To Talk. Alot has happened in these years & there is tons more I look forward to doing. I'm very appreciative of the ppl I've met on this journey. Whether it's me talking family or fun/media, thanks for listening 💜❤️
Just watched The Only Living Pickpocket in New York. Really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed going on this journey with John Turturro and all the other characters along the way. Joy, tension and purpose in the craft, is the best way to frame things from opening til the credits roll.
Another great episode of Reincarnated Aristocrat (S3 EP6). As soon as I saw these 3, I wanted Ars to recruit them ASAP lol. It's cool that we are getting characters from another country in the mix. Can't wait for next week.
The synopsis sounds right up my alley but I can't get into light novels. Hopefully it gets a manga adaptation.
Reincarnated protagonist Kyle must uncover which of his trusted companions in the hero's party is secretly the Demon King in disguise!

Finally watched Street Fighter movie and it's definitely in the dumb fun category. 2hrs of nostalgia, laughs and beautiful ladies. The animated portions were pretty cool tho. Nothing super crazy but was worth a Sunday morning watch for a couple bucks lol

Watched “Clayface.” I wasn’t familiar with the character from DC, but I enjoyed the film. I’ve always loved the science fiction films of the 1950s and ’60s, particularly those about lonely men who gradually transform into something monstrous through scientific experiments, accidents, clinical trials, and the like. Richard Matheson’s novel “The Shrinking Man” (1956), and films such as “The Fly” (1958) and “4D Man” (1959). The facial disfigurement also reminded me of “Eyes Without a Face” (1959), “The Face of Another” (1966), and “The Skin I Live In” (2011). As a body horror film, “Clayface” will undoubtedly be compared to “The Fly” (1986) and “The Substance” (2024). But this is the story of a method actor who can become anyone through his performances, only to suffer a disfiguring facial injury and eventually gain the extraordinary ability to physically transform into anyone. Whether you see it as the story of a man who takes his revenge and descends into villainy, or as a tragedy, changes the very face of the film. While I was there, I also picked up a reprint of the original theatrical pamphlet for “The Man Who Stole the Sun.”

When you achieve success in life there will be people who were once ahead of you that have a hard time coming to terms with the fact you don’t shine shoes anymore. It’s just a part of the game.

I finally watched Planetes. This is one I've been curious about for years considering it's what Yukimura did before Vinland Saga and I just enjoy space related series. Overall I enjoyed it and seeing all the fun and drama filled moments these characters experienced was a journey.
