ps1-ps5 & xbox-Series X is enough to last us the rest of our lifetime if we’re being honest. i don’t need a PS6. PS5 is good enough to end the journey for me

RUMOR: Sony is said to have sent out a survey to developers asking them about how they feel regarding ending physical media, suggesting they are considering backtracking on the decision🚀
“There is a survey Sony sent out to developers that is, what I was told by my contacts, a bigger survey than they’ve sent almost ever before.
There was a question in it trying to ask in a not-direct way: Is there an issue with not selling games physically, asking developers for feedback on killing discs.
Wolverine is still selling plenty of physical copies and Sony is starting to ask devs if they are worried about killing physical, suggesting that if they got a bunch of feedback, maybe they would consider some sort of mea culpa.”
WE NEED TO KEEP THE PRESSURE!

Why stop with Sony, boycott Rockstar.
GTA 6 is a digital only release.
Demand they put it on Disc. 🤷🏾♂️
For those who are waiting for RE4 Separate Ways to continue, I have one more episode I recorded before the #playstationblackout and I have not played my PS5 since. That episode will go live soon. I will get back to it, but for now I'm enjoying Dinoblade

Never forget:
@Sony chose to:
👉 Ghost its customers for months
👉Address its investors instead of its customers
👉Send out emails telling you that you don’t own the games you buy
👉(Allegedly) Use bots on social media to stop your backlash
👉Pay influencers to counteract gamers’ anger
👉Force a #PSBlackout
👉Have TakeTwo’s CEO tell you that physical discs “didn’t really make sense” and that games would be all streaming in three years
👉Stop producing physical discs
👉Advertise a vinyl record player while telling you that physical media was dead
👉Introduce dynamic pricing based on your buying habits
👉Remove 550 movies from customer libraries without reimbursement
👉Sell you digital games without a refund policy
👉Enact anti-consumer policies to establish a monopoly
@Playstation doesn’t deserve our loyalty. Never forget your anger. They haven’t suffered enough. They need humility.
WE ARE THE GAMERS. WE DECIDE THE FUTURE.

People want to say that nobody is actually participating in the #psblackout however we have made moves yall! Check it out:
1.2% drop across PlayStation's active userbase represents a total loss of 1.5 million playerslogging out or staying offline during the protest week.
Sony loses an estimated $986,000 to $1.72 million in daily revenue for every day 1.5 million players stay completely offline. While casual users generate lower daily averages, physical media protesters consist heavily of hardcore enthusiasts whose absence disproportionately drains PlayStation's live-service ecosystem.
Don’t quit! They will be forced to listen and we are making a difference! @DoesItPlay1 @NBCNews @CBCNews @MSNNews @BBCWorld @CNN @ABC

I'ma say it.
I've lost all interest in GTA6
I haven't really watched a whole lot about it...
But the lack of physical media, the ignorance of Rockstar as a company, and the fact that GTA5 is gonna be hard as shit to top...
All that paired with the amount of time it's taken...
Just really don't care at this point.
If I'm not buying my games digitally, don't put "Buy Now" on the storefront. It should say "License Now" if they really wanna play this "digital ownership isn't plausible" bullshit #physicalgames #nodiscnobuy #stopkillinggames

It’s been 61 days since Sony announced their plan to end physical media🚀
To this day, outrage has expanded worldwide and went way beyond social media gaming spheres, but extended to mainstream media and gaming conventions.
✅Sales figures have shown high demand for physical games around the world
✅Resident Evil Requiem and Assassin’s Creed Shadows sold over 40-50% physical in territories like France, Japan, UK and Australia
✅64% of world countries have no dedicated PlayStation Store, meaning an all-digital future leaves them with no official access to games
✅PlayStation Store has no option to change region, meaning if you move to another country, you need to make a new account in the new region in order to use a local credit card, provided they even have a dedicated store to begin with
✅We have seen time and time again that digital games, movies, shows, music and books can be removed without compensation from digital store fronts, due to licensing agreements and various other reasons
✅Losing access to your account means losing all your games, and many have reported inefficient support teams when it comes to restoring lost access
✅Network outages have stood in the way of people accessing their digital games
✅Code-in-a-box games are region locked
✅Taking away physical games ends second hand market and trading
✅Digital-only future eliminates competition and leads to higher pricing, and it’s already evident with dynamic and regional pricing being introduced
✅Physical sales are high even if the percentage goes as low as 10% because that’s still millions of people
✅Publishers calculate microtransactions, DLC, free-to-play and digital only games as “digital sales” which inflates their the numbers of digital sales, and engineers a fake narrative that physical games are too niche to matter
✅PlayStation 6 and Project Helix are estimated to cost around $1000, which leaves little incentive to buy games priced from $70-100 and more, on an expensive console and PS5 barely showed any innovation in games compared to PS4 with hardly any games pushing the system’s power to its maximum or showing any true leap, and losing physical media leaves little to no incentive to buy a console when PC, while digital, offers way more options, higher specs, DRM-free, modding and generally way more games old and new
✅Exclusives are taking 5-7 years or more to come out, meaning buying consoles for the sake of exclusives is becoming pointless since a whole generation could pass with only 1 game from a first party studio
Physical media MUST stay, the same way books still come to print, music (including video games soundtracks especially for Sony games) continues to be released on vinyl, CD and cassette and films and shows keep coming on Blu-Ray.
There are many ways to make production or physical games more efficient, but ending them is not the way.
We MUST speak up, and protest within our legal rights as customers to defend physical games, because ending physical media harms digital gaming fans, not just physical ones.
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
