According to Newzoo analyst Emmanuel Rosier, it’s pretty much impossible as long as Valve stays independent and privately owned.
“Steam is difficult to avoid,” He points out that publishers have tried to leave Steam before, only to come back. “10 or 20 years ago, the big publishers decided to have their own platform distribution on PC, and then they almost all went back to Steam.”
EA and Ubisoft are clear examples, and even Blizzard now sells Overwatch on Steam.

Echamos de menos a nuestro rey de la casa. Ya hace casi 4 años. Sabemos que se fue en paz y vivió bien. Si nos visita, lo recibiremos como si no se hubiera ido. Siempre que podáis dadle una buena vida a otro animal aunque el irse os deje un vacío en el alma. No sé merecen menos.
Que duro.. Me ocurre muy mucho desde siempre. Es una sensación bastante fuerte.
Almenos tiene algo de ciencia detrás.
Aunque mi impulso básico se sienta así, trato de trabajarlo para verlo de forma más racional y no luchar tanto contra palabras ajenas.

• Student loans kicked in the same month rent doubled
• Were told to “just network” during two years of lockdown
• Grew up on social media designed to make them feel worthless
• Watched billionaires add trillions during COVID while they lost their jobs
• Inherited a planet that’s literally on fire
• Were promised the American Dream and handed the American Bill
But yeah.

🥺 Shortly before suicide, people often become relieved and positive because they've made the decision and see a way out.
The stress and struggle is over, so the depression disappears seemingly.
This is actually a warning sign many people don’t know.
If a depressed person suddenly becomes happy, it often means they've decided to end it and are now happy to finally have made the decision.
Some even go and finish off a bucket list, what looks fun from the side … but it’s just the pre suicide behaviour.
