Ole Miss ain’t beating the allegations
This is disgusting behavior! Ole Miss student Jakiyra Metcalf posted a video on her TikTok being harassed at her home by other Ole Miss Students Lauren Mayfield, Sara Whitehead, and Alaina Kunes. Ring doorbell captured the girls making racial gestures and noises 🎥: JakiyraMetcalf / TikTok

Important folks know the backstory of this ad. My twin brother, Andrew Robert Colom, @andrewcolom, wrote, directed, and produced this ad, and starred alongside me in it. (He's not AI). 😂 Kayland Partee (@KaylandPartee) did the cinematographer and helped with a lot of my great content. These 2 are another example of the awesome talent from and in the Sip!
Sinators. Happy Halloween! (this is a joke!)

Spelman College represent!!
Harris County, WE DID IT! Tonight belongs to every person who believed in this campaign, knocked on doors, made calls and showed up at the polls. I'm beyond grateful. This victory isn't just mine. It's OURS. Now, the real work begins. Harris County, let's get to work!

See you in 28’…and we are going to make sure you have the $$ next time!!
Thank you, Florida. We didn’t get the result we fought for tonight. I’m not going to pretend that it doesn’t hurt. But I want y’all to hear me. What we built together is REAL. Every door you knocked, every call you made, every dollar you gave and every friend you brought to the polls proved that working people in this state are ready for something better. That movement isn’t going anywhere, and neither am I. The fight continues. Love, Angie 💗 #AngieForFlorida

I remember when the Black Church was the institutional backbone of our community and ground zero for the Civil Rights Movement. Its moral authority was earned by leaders who risked their freedom, their livelihoods, and their lives to defend our people. That history makes what we are witnessing @PerfectingC especially disgraceful. @marvinwinans allowing your church to become a campaign backdrop for @MikeRogersForMI and @HaleyforMI reflects a profound failure of judgment and an appalling disregard for the community you claim to serve. Consider the record: while serving in the Michigan Senate, Rogers co-sponsored the legislation that became Public Act 10 of 1999, which stripped Detroit’s elected school board of its governing authority and transferred control to an appointed reform board. Detroit residents were deprived of direct electoral control over the institution responsible for educating their children. That record deserves a public accounting. What answers did your congregation receive before your church helped lend him respectability? What explanation did he offer the families whose political power that legislation diminished? A pastor entrusted with the confidence of a community has an obligation to remember what ambitious politicians would prefer everyone forget. Offering the prestige of a Black institution without demanding accountability insults the intelligence of the people sitting in its pews. The arrogance required to treat that trust so casually is staggering. A congregation’s loyalty does not give its pastor unrestricted authority to spend its credibility on politicians seeking a convenient photograph and borrowed legitimacy. The Black Church’s legacy imposes obligations on everyone who claims its mantle. A pastor who enjoys its prestige while abandoning its responsibility to the people has forfeited any claim to that moral inheritance. You cannot invoke the sacrifices of those who fought for our political power while helping rehabilitate the image of someone who helped take it away.
