Ever wonder what a lost ADR workprint of random Goldeneye scenes would be like if Sean Connery had dubbed the other characters? No? This is GoldenSean. Trailer below, full version on Vimeo: vimeo.com/728995688

This seems like a fun idea, but once again the US market is left out completely. Of course, the greatest way to celebrate Fleming’s legacy would be to restore the original works and remove the censored versions from circulation…
It's time for 007 to Go All In. This #JamesBondDay we're pleased to announce a brand-new Bond adventure, All In, to celebrate the National Year of Reading. It has been written by Sunday Times bestselling author and National Year of Reading ambassador @dgjones. Paying tribute to Ian Fleming's fourth novel, Diamonds are Forever, 70 years after its publication, the action of this new 007 novella finds Bond in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) in 1954, on a mission to track down one of the most valuable stones in the world... Out on December 3rd, hardback copies will be exclusively available from ianflemingshop.com, whilst the eBook and audio editions will be available from all usual outlets. Pre-order your copy here: ianflemingshop.com/collectio… #JamesBond #AllIn #GoAllIn2026 #DanJones #NationalYearOfReading2026

You know you’re a #JamesBond fan when: at your local comic shop you desperately want the 1962 issue of DC showcase adapting Dr. No even though you know it merely repurposed the UK Classics Illustrated version and it’s still massively out of your price range.

Such a fantastic article by @SadHillDevan. This topic is very rarely if ever discussed and has become incredibly vital in film preservation. I was happy to be interviewed for it.
It's not often one gets the opportunity to make a pro-piracy case about film preservation, and yet here we are! Thrilled this piece is out. Go read it. [Thanks @vrizov and @danielkasman for being terrific editors.]

hammerfilms.com/blogs/news/d… Hammer is releasing the Dracula shooting script plus extras. This is fantastic except that it's $70 and should have been part of the boxset. They're also releasing James Bernard's score for the first time-except they indicate it is composed of selections

cleared of effects meaning this is likely from another nightmarish AI generated separation stem for another horrorshow 5.1 remix no one asked for as happened on Curse of Frankenstein and others.

Apparently they did release a double 7" of the Curse score sections without effects from their AI remix elements so this seems to be more of the same as I had feared.

The question is will these be the unreleased 4K HDR versions of OHMSS, TSWLM, LTK and GE? And the new 4K HDR version of Goldfinger with fubar audio? Since this a standard screening who knows what DCPs turn up. If they use the horrendous defective Atmos remix of Goldfinger...

This is what happens when I talk about a #jamesbond novel. My analysis of Fleming's ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE, the film, the comic strip, the radio drama, the book editions and cover artworks. youtu.be/xOmwh027lWg

Despite the claims of a new 35mm print, the Rialto print of The Third Man seems like the one previously in circulation. Or they made a new copy. It is the purest way to experience the film and later engagements will be few as the 4K DCP will take precedence.

What do you do after leaving a print screening of The Third Man @Belcourt as you’re staggering around once again completely obliterated? Go to a bookstore and buy a stack of pulp westerns of course. I wish the books in the film were real and that Holly Martins was a pseudonym.

Will Murray was the world’s preeminent pulp historian and keeper of the flame. He was an incredibly talented writer who was also very gracious to everyone in the pulp community. He will be missed terribly. thepulp.net/yellowedperils/2…

I had the privilege of speaking with him a few times over social media and he couldn’t have been more kind. It was an honor to have an article published in the Shadowed Circle magazine alongside one of his essential pieces.

The baggage that comes with the role is one thing. Comments like this and others (never forget the wrists one) along with what these films did to the series define why this era was so destructive. These comments make it readily apparent reverence and responsibility were not felt.
Daniel Craig says he asked to kill James Bond while driving away from the Casino Royale premiere “We were driving away from the Berlin premiere of Casino Royale. I was in the back of the car, just me and Barbara” “I said, ‘How many have I got to do of these things?’ She said four, I think. I did five in the end” “‘Great, if I do four, can I kill him off at the end?’ She just went silent, then went, ‘Yep, okay’ And she stuck to her word”

If you must have a fully modernized interpretation of 007 after the Brosnan era, then look at either Carte Blanche or First Light. Crucially, neither of those reboots jettison the character himself.

When To Live and Die In LA finally gets an expanded score release but @Interscope makes it vinyl only, “mostly from 24/192 files” and makes a fancy new gatefold jacket…that somehow USES THE ALTERED MGM 2003 DVD COVER ART!
