We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026). arkolith.com/news/news-micr… therepublic.com/?p=843020 governor.ny.gov/news/safer-str…

Great work here:
At the parade yesterday, I asked as many Brewers fans as possible to add the names of their favorite former players to a championship shirt. Hearing so many stories about so many guys who helped shape this franchise is something I will cherish forever. This is for them.

The Brewers had the best record in baseball The Dodgers had the 2nd best record in baseball (They were 3-7 this year against the Brewers) The Rays had the best record in the American League (They were 2-6 this year against the Brewers) The Guardians made it to the ALCS (They were 1-2 against the Brewers this year) The White Sox were the fifth to last team eliminated from the post season (They were 0-3 against the Brewers this year) The Yankees had the second best record in the AL this year (They were 0-3 against the Brewers this year) The Cubs were second in the NL Central and had baseball's 6th best record (They were 4-9 against the Brewers this year) The Phillies edged the Diamondbacks for the last NL playoff spot (Both were 2-4 against the Brewers this year) The Marlins and Cardinals were two of the surprise teams in baseball for much of the season (they were 1-5 and 2-11 against the Brewers respectively) The NL's 3rd and 4th best teams, the Braves and Padres each had by far the best success against the Brewers among the elite teams (They were 3-3 and 5-5 respectively) The only team with more than 82 wins that had a winning record against the Brewers were the Red Sox (They were 2-1 against the Brewers) All of the above were a combined 27-63 (including playoffs) vs. the Brewers this season @tvvfoxsix @jaysonst @SlangsOnSports @JonHeyman @dan_bernstein @DannyParkins @getnickwright @colincowherd @Buster_ESPN @Brewers

Meet Bob. One of Milwaukee’s beloved beer vendors. Was pouring beers for the ‘82 series and is still doing it 44 years later in the original hat.

Milwaukee Brewers fans showed up to tailgate World Series Game 1 at nine in the morning. The parking lot gates were still locked. First pitch was ten hours away. In old Japan, when ten thousand people camp outside a fortress at dawn with iron cauldrons, smoke, and provisions, it is called a siege. Milwaukee laid siege to its own castle. Out of pure love. With bratwurst and folding chairs. When reporters told Christian Yelich that fans had been lined up since nine, he said he was surprised it took them that long. In my land, a general knows the battle is already half won when his people light the morning fires before the gates even open. Nobody guards a castle like the Midwest in October.

They sold $2.5 million at the stadium alone during game one.
The Milwaukee Brewers have sold more merchandise this postseason than any team in history, MLB officials told Brewers owner Mark Attanasio.

There is something deeply wrong with a political system that allows one trillionaire to buy his own personal U.S. Senator.

Growing up going to @Brewers games at County Stadium was never about trying to win the World Series. That was simply not even in the realm of possibility to us kids as we watched big market teams spend 10x more and top players leave year after year. As an adult fan, we now just sort of accept the unfairness of big spending in baseball and hope to get a good core of young players every ten years for a chance at a title. It’s surreal to watch my team punch a ticket to the series for the first time in my life, but to do it against the $400 million dollar @Dodgers just makes it so much sweeter. The big market couldn’t even sell out a postseason game, meanwhile, real fans in Milwaukee will be shelling out thousands of $$$ to watch them play next weekend in the city’s first World Series since 1982. Here we go Brewers, here we go!
THE @BREWERS ARE GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES! #CLINCHED (MLB x @BudweiserUSA)

Do you lack critical thinking skills or are you just that naive? Anyone with a brain knows exactly what’s happening and why. MAGA is and always has been a front for corruption, racism, and hatred, and you are complicit: washingtonpost.com/technolog…
I'm confused. The USA has the most powerful military on Earth. We've bombed the HELL out of Iran for 4 months. Trump says their Air Force, Navy, and nearly all of their missile capabilities are destroyed. ...so how is Iran still capable of hitting US bases right now???
