Mills' cross for Burgzorg's (who should have done a lot better on second watch imo) chance was unreal too. Shame there isn't really any other option for RWB at present, as think Mills would have suited being up front in that system today.

A shame but not surprising it was Mills caught out for the goal. Understandable as he isn't a defender, but struggled to to take the right positions when defending and often left space WBA exploited. An clear weak point.

Just watched the highlights and PNE have a claim for two pens after Erabi was tripped by Pereira in the box late on, as well as Hughes being wiped out. Also, Iversen's save from close range even better on the replay, as is his one for the goal.

Alexander explains the Devine sub and gives an update on Gibson #pnefc lep.co.uk/sport/football/pre…

Alexander understandably full of praise for his team after such a hard-working display #pnefc lep.co.uk/sport/football/pre…

I thought the challenge on Hughes looked bad in real time. On the replay... how on Earth was that not given?

Devine had a tight calf this week and went off half as precaution, half tactical. Gibson had a 'procedure' today for a hernia. Lindsay could be back next week.

Graham Alexander quoted Jurgen Klopp before today's game. But it was another famous Klopp quote I couldn't help thinking about watching today's game #pnefc lep.co.uk/sport/football/pre…

It's hard not to ignore the lack of quality in the final third, but that's what Alexander has to work with and he probably got the best out of everyone today. No player's effort or commitment can be questioned after such a hard-working and battling display lep.co.uk/sport/football/pre…

I would say more performances like that Alexander will get his believers.

It's a first point on the board for Alexander as things end 1-1. A really battling performance that deserved more, but that lack of cutting edge just let them down in the end. Still, that's really something to build on against a talented WBA.

Preston want a penalty after it appears Moran gets a boot in the chest/face.

Heggebo slams it in after Iversen had tipped a shot onto the post.

1-1.

It's Hughes!! The ball falls to him in the box and he prods it home. Nothing less than what Preston deserve.

From a corner no less...

GOAL!
