Palace feels like a must win given the last 2 performances haven’t been good enough and they’re a team we should be beating. Would put us back in the top half, end the away woes with one or two big players returning. Get Osula or Pardo off the mark for the season

I’ve been banging on about this for half a decade - bacon causes cancer, it’s rated as a class 1 carcinogen by the World Health Organisation - alongside tobacco. Yes, tobacco. We control tobacco with a branding and advertising ban, hideous pictures of diseased organs on the packaging and we keep it behind roller shutter doors. Out of sight in shops. Bacon on the other hand, sits in consumer friendly, inviting, branded shrink wrapped - openly in shop. Maybe with a picture of a happy pig face. It has no health warnings, it’s presented as safe by the very fact that it is presented in this way. When will we have a government that stands up to the big food lobby and gives us proper food advice, based on the science - and regulates the presentation of harmful foods, like meat and dairy, with health warnings. The Tories might refer to this as the 'nanny state’ - it’s actually the state doing its job, protecting us. And the Tories have their own version anyway - maybe you’d call it the ‘dark nanny state’ - ten years ago they regulated to force schools to feed meat and dairy to our kids - at the behest of big business interests no doubt. People first. That’s the right approach. buff.ly/ibcj3Bj

Pressing and working hard out of possession is valuable, even if it doesn’t fit your aesthetic proclivities. Football isn’t just the fun stuff like goals, skills, and creative associative play. Someone has to win the ball back, and the main benefit to pressing is: if that someone does it further up the pitch, the players that generate the highlights are better positioned to do their thing. Not understanding the value of pressing, to me, is like a childish view of football. It’s like when you’re a kid and you think being an adult is just excitement like staying up late or going out with friends or having money to buy the things you want when you want. No. Someone has to work so those things are possible. If your stance is ‘that’s not what I like about football’ totally cool, it’s a subjective sport and you should like what you like about it. But if your stance is ‘this is just a bunch of worthless nothing’ I’d challenge you to think about football as a broader, dynamic system, not just the individual actions you believe to be the most valuable. Btw, he was a strong/active presser at Lille, so if this was part of the thought process in signing him, good profiling by Newcastle.

The whole world has to isolate this rogue Apartheid genocidal maniac, serial killing, pathologically lying state, isolate it & shame anyone who goes there. Israel is exposed, Zionism is on its last leg & only exists on the weight of its own collapsed propaganda. @AbbyMartin 🔥

I dug into the Epstein network behind Ed Sheeran: - Ed’s played at Robert Kraft’s wedding (who orchestrated Macklemore’s firing) - Kraft hired Epstein’s lawyer, who got his solicitation charges dropped - Ed’s manager flew on Epstein’s plane, and friends with Bibi (with Kraft)

🚨 JEFFREY EPSTEIN FILES: A DISTURBING NAME SURFACES “This is Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. He visited me several times.” The name of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has appeared in reporting surrounding individuals who had direct contact with Jeffrey Epstein. The allegations and references deserve full scrutiny, transparency, and public accountability—especially wherever claims involve Epstein’s exploitation of underage girls. No powerful name should be beyond investigation.
