Great leaders do what few others will ever do, because their zeal and determination will not let them give in, give up or give out.

Pride fills space.
Humility creates space.
Pride loves self.
Humility denies self.
Pride seeks control.
Humility surrenders control.

The journey can be filled with full days or empty days. King David is a great example of a full life. He lived 70 years and ruled Israel for 40 of them. 1 Chronicles 29:28 says, "He died in a good old age, full of days and riches and honor." Let's live full days!

Great leaders aren't interested in can’t, almost, maybe or possibly. Rather they focus on can do, always, absolute and done.

Hurt people often pass on their pain. Blessed people have the opportunity to pass on what God has given them.
Choose to lead from gratitude, extend grace, and be a blessing to the people around you.

Great leaders see adversity as a gift. They don’t squander the invitation into a deep journey to grow in humility.
Great leaders sit at the table and build consensus. They don’t stand on the table and power up. They don’t go under the table and hide.
39 years ago today (Oct 15, 1987), Dawn Darnell Britton and me at a college retreat. Amazing that after all these years, we are still drinking coffee together, serving the Lord together, and in love…with 3 married children and 4 grandkids! God is good!
We're addicted to being busy. The new greeting? "I'm busy." But busy ≠ important! Busyness can crowd out what matters most. Great leaders set priorities and step away from the chaos. Focus on what really counts!
The daily battle: false self vs. true me. We talk, project, blab. We fear blank space. Can I step back and embrace the quiet? Seek silence and solitude to hear my thoughts ... or God's? Am I still enough to hear His whispers? Do I hear the shuffling of Jesus' sandals?
God —
Redeem the pain.
Restore the joy.
Renew the mind.
Revive the passion.
Refresh the spirit.
Amen
God’s delays are always deliberate. God is never late. He is always on time. God is working in all circumstances and situations. Paul reminds us in Romans 8:28 that “all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
