Yesterday's performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in Nervi marked the end of the season. Now our dancers are taking a summer break - see you again on August 26! Until then, we'll be looking back over the next few weeks, and look forward to the 24/25 season 📸@kiranwest

So many wonderful dance moments and strong emotions. Last night's Nijinsky Gala marked the grand finale of John Neumeier's 51-year era as chief choreographer and artistic director of the Hamburg Ballet and was also a worthy conclusion to the 49th Hamburg Ballet Days✨📸@kiranwest

Today and tomorrow evening, the two Tennessee Williams ballets "A Streetcar Named Desire" & "The Glass Menagerie" are on the program. By the way: You can watch the new ballet film of "The Glass Menagerie" in the @ARTEconcertFR Mediathek until September 28. 📸@kiranwest

We celebrate the grand opening of the 49th Hamburg Ballet Days on June 30 with the world premiere of "Epilogue", John Neumeier's last premiere in his role as ballet director of the Hamburg Ballet. A chamber music ballet of quiet tones and subtle movements 💫📸@kiranwest

What a moving evening: last Sunday we celebrated the world premiere of John Neumeier's "Epilogue", which also opened the 49th Hamburg Ballet Days. But "Epilogue" is also Neumeier's last creation in his role as our artistic director. Here are some first impressions✨📸@kiranwest

3 more times we dance to Mahler's wonderful music - with the premiere of “Third Symphony of Gustav Mahler” in 1975, John Neumeier created a new form of full-length ballet, the symphonic ballet. The choreography reflects Neumeier's emotional reaction to the music. 📸@kiranwest
