Sidebar about road names @mr1llinois I had always assumed with Sheridan Road through Evanston and then also Sherman Avenue that there was some acknowledgment of our Civil War generals, but recently found out Sherman Avenue is named for one of the early trustees of northwestern.

New idea @transitapp - what about a natural language interface to suggest a “sub optimal” route from a cost or time perspective but allow the user to propose for instance: Chicago Brown Line to Damen, Walk to Ravenswood Metra, UP-n to Main Street, Divvy Bike to appointment.

My favorite @WestLoopTom is when someone wants to save $0.50/gallon on gas and so they drive 40 miles round trip to get there and back which is an extra gallon or two consumed so the absolute savings is negative while saving a good percentage per gallon.
