UCAP demonstrates clinical benefit of screening and early treatment of obstructive airways diseases.
Presented at #ATS2024: UCAP trial: Case finding for symptomatic adults with undiagnosed asthma or COPD was coupled with a randomized trial to compare pulmonologist-directed and usual care. Pulmonologist-directed care led to less health care utilization. nej.md/4bEPnuC

This is such an exciting project. Hope we can find ways to arrest or slow the progression pre-COPD to #COPD @meilan_han
🥳@nhmrc has awarded $3 million Clinical Trial & Cohorts Studies grant to @unimelbMSPGH 's Prof @CDharmage and her team. It will fund the worlds' 1st trial of triple therapy for #pre-COPD within the #TAHS cohort. A major step towards advancing the novel paradigm of pre-COPD!
