That’s how you fight despair,ā€ he said. ā€œIt’s truly sad to be sad about the climate and not do anything about it. In the face of a world not existing, I find true joy and relief in mobilizing and organizing with fellow young people.ā€ oregonlive.com/environment/2…

I continue to follow with deep concern the ongoing and escalating violence in the #HolyLand, where, in recent days, many civilians, both in the West Bank and in Gaza, have once again fallen victim. I make a heartfelt appeal for a return to negotiations to achieve a just political solution, founded on the equal dignity and equal rights of every human person. At the same time, I urge the rejection of further military actions and unilateral decisions, especially those that violate the respect for and the status quo of the holy places of every religion.

The political landscape has grown more heated in recent years because of this. As working class Americans lose wealth, the elites push narratives to place blame on different groups, stoking divisions and hatred.

Understand this: if Medicaid, Medicare, and/or SNAP benefits are cut, Americans will die as a result. It’s policy violence.

Two weeks after Hurricane Beryl, the death toll has kept climbing. More than half were heat-related deaths. Our communities need resources to combat growing climate disasters and extreme heat and save lives. usatoday.com/story/news/nati…

Happy 2 Year Anniversary to the Bike Bus @CoachBalto! I’m so proud to live in Portland bc the bike bus movement became viral here in our city. Bike buses give kids a great way to get to school in the mornings, but Portland needs safer routes to school & the city should help.

Today, BLM announced new oil and gas regulations. We're glad they're taking on Big Oil, but, it's 2024! We're facing a climate emergency. We need to go beyond small tweaks. We must make plans to phase out fossil fuels on public lands. Full stop. blm.gov/press-release/blm-en…
