Unsure if it's because it is hot as balls out, the impending election, or what...but everyone I speak to for work is soooooooooooo burnt out.
We need a collective siesta. Shut it down for 6 weeks.
Did anyone watch Defending Jacob on AppleTV? I felt physically ill and anxious watching virtually the entire time. 10/10 recommend.
Blindly accepted a dinner invite for tomorrow night for a birthday dinner. Asked zero questions. Found out just now the dinner is outside. Supposed to 95 degrees tomorrow.
Is Covid still an excuse we can use? If not, what else is acceptable?
Men: what button down brands are you wearing that look good untucked? This shirt fits perfect but had to get it tailored to achieve the perfection.
Women who shop for the men in their lives: what brands are YOU buying.
Genuinely curious -- who is buying the merch of a b2b creator? I see a lot of them starting to launch their own merch stores.
What is the most unhinged @LinkedIn message you've ever received...
Looking for new agency partners in these areas:
🔹 Website design + dev: particularly, agencies that, for the most part ONLY do website design + dev. Hypothetically, CMS/tech agnostic. Low end budgets typically $30-$50k, high end ~500k.
🔹 Full service b2b/demand gen/ABM focused agencies.
🔹 PR: both b2b and b2c
🔹 Creative
🔹 Social Media: similar to web -- social ONLY agencies. Agencies that handle organic and paid social, influencer, and not much else.
🔹 Hubspot focused agencies
🔹 CRM/Email/Loyalty: experience with franchise food a plus
🔹 Brand focused design agencies.
🔹 Paid Media: ideally looking for agencies that take on a wide variety of media spends. Working media dollars on the low end of $10k/mo -- high end, millions.
🔹 Amazon/Retail media focused agencies
🔸🔸🔸I am ONLY interested in agencies that fit these requirements🔸🔸🔸
🔸 Independently owned and operated
🔸 15-100 FTE headcount
🔸 Been around at least a year
🔸 US based
🔸 Open to exploration -- meaning they don't ONLY want massive business and understand that stuff takes time, and a foot in the door (within reason) is a win.
🔸 Strong communication/client service: the most important to me. If you said "oh I love this agency, but the guy is kind of a d*ck" I would say thanks but no thanks. Essentially, people who understand biz dev is hard and agency biz dev cannot be forced.
Got a recommendation? I'm all ears.
Wonder how many times "hope you had a great holiday and happy new year! Just circling back on _______" will be sent today :)
People got mad at me on Linkedin last week for saying that I think agencies with offices are/will be more attractive to brands than agencies that are 100% remote.
What say you, Twitterverse?
If you're an agency owner in 2024 -- you should reallllllllllllllly reallllllllly care about your reputation.
What are your current clients, former clients, and folks who don't know you, but run around in similar circles, saying about you when you're not in the room?
I woke up at 6:30a today.
Shortly after, I drank my @drink_AG1.
I worked out at 7:15a, posted some content for my business, and was at my co working space by 8:30a.
How long will this last? Unsure.
Do I feel like a f'in Olympian at the moment. Yep!
If you’re an agency, there’s one thing that matters above all else, and it has nothing to do with the work.
It’s your reputation.
How would current and former clients speak about you when you’re not in the room?
If that statement concerns you — you should probably fix it.
I’ve seen several different accounts with big followings post some variation of “what’s something under $500 that has improved your life” today.
Do all these people like, get together and decide to post the same stuff or are they all just stealing, errr, borrowing from each other?
