4/ South Africa's Finance Minister says cross-border crypto rules will be redrafted after thousands of public comments.
The shift: from pre-approving transactions to checking them for legitimacy and tax compliance. A second draft comes next.
Why it matters: institutions aren't shopping for tokens. They're choosing interoperability and data standards. That's where the long-term work is.
3/ LG CNS, the tech arm of LG Group and lead contractor on the Bank of Korea's Project Hangang, is partnering with @chainlink .
The goal: cross-chain, data and orchestration infrastructure for Korean institutions and their digital asset platforms.
Why it matters: this is stablecoin adoption without the crypto onboarding. Existing app, existing users, and tokenized funds as the next step.
2/ @HSBC is rolling out RedCoin, its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, to 3.3M+ PayMe users, starting with transfers and merchant payments (via @WuBlockchain ).
Next: tokenized money market funds from HK$100 in its banking app by year-end.

18 ventures. Four sprints. Five jury-audited gates. From October through to an investor Demo Day in January.
The Hedera Africa Hackathon gave us 13,000+ developers and 1,300+ submissions. The hard part was never finding talent — it was what happens after the applause. A prize is not a business model. So a share of the prize pool now goes directly into product development, technical implementation and market validation for those same winners.
Our target: at least five seed-ready companies by January, and signed LOIs or live pilots for more than 60% of the cohort by gate three.

The takeaway for builders is simple:
Know where your secrets live.
Know what each key can access.
Give keys only the permissions they need.
Make rotation easy.
Watch how they are being used.
A leaked key should be a contained problem, not access to your entire product.
@Railway is asking users to rotate secrets and check their services for unusual activity.
It also reset some @github and storage bucket credentials and published separate guidance for services such as @OpenAI, @AnthropicAI and @awscloud.

The more interesting detail:
@Railway says it believes the activity is part of attacks targeting platform companies with the aim of compromising AI inference providers.
The platform may only be the entry point!
@Railway disclosed that an unauthorized third party may have accessed customer environment variables and obtained the decrypted contents of some of them.
Those variables can contain API keys, database credentials and private registry credentials.
