Hi because you get rinsed by the same KOL grifters who have done it for years and never learn.
I tried calling out Ansem numerous times in the past for promoting micro cap and celeb tokens but gamblers brought him credibility and exit liquidity yet again this cycle.
So why should I care at all?
I am busy with recent incidents like the French bank heist, DPRK, or The Com where my work actually brings measurable impact rather than engagement from calling out known bad actors and saying the obvious.

Ten years ago everyone on crypto twitter was bullish and the bankers said it was all a scam. Now everyone on crypto twitter says it’s all a scam and the bankers are bullish

The state of crypto is pretty clear now
• The 2021 theses are dead (NFTs, creators, DAO)
• The 2017 theses are alive and thriving (loans, payments, and prediction markets)
• But with one difference. *Crypto is thriving off centralization, not decentralization*
Take a recent example: the Binance hack. Over 5 billion dollars hacked because an employee used a work computer to take a fake job interview. Surely this is a sign of the massive honeypot risks of centralization?
Surely this is the signal that crypto’s ultimate utility is *decentralization*?
You might think so. But look at the reactions to the hack, and you’ll see a new kind of relief in crypto. A relief that nobody felt when decentralized protocols were getting hacked.
A relief that everyone affected was *centralized.*
Because @binance is centralized, it could contain the hack and reimburse users. Because @Ripple, @tether, and @circle are centralized, they could press a button and freeze tokens.
This is not necessarily a case for *full* centralization. @aave, which is probably the most decentralized major consumer product, still was able to freeze all markets in ten minutes because it was centralized *enough.*
Now go back to the 2017 use cases: loans, payments, and prediction markets. These are all thriving now, in a way they couldn’t ten years ago, *from* centralization.
• Loans: @aave is able to freeze markets to prevent bad credit. @Visa is letting stablecoin issuers get access to credit.
• Payments: @stripe is developing its own blockchain that will let anyone remit payment at any time, anywhere (compliant) in the world, for cheap. Onrampers like @coinbase, @moonpay, @fun, and, yes, @StripeCrypto all give a gateway for people to turn cash into crypto to use in onchain products.
• Prediction Markets: @Kalshi and @Polymarket both use off-chain order matching and centralized market creation to bolster user experience in a way that wasn’t possible a decade ago.
2017 won, but it won under 2026 terms: crypto has grown up into an enterprise solution above all.
Like it or not, centralization is here to stay.

how do you look at this monthly chart after all the shit that's happened over the last few months and interpret it as bearish
castelian.eth 🇻🇳 retweeted
in a bearish market, an equity crash would translate into an absolute bloodbath for crypto, triggering massive liquidation cascades think -20%+ on BTC and -30%+ on ETH and major alts on the daily
u could argue that the market is maturing, but I don't think that's what's happening. we're simply not in a bear market. despite this pullback we've seen across BTC and other majors, crypto is holding far stronger than it would under actual bear market conditions
short equities, long crypto. I'm highly confident in that thesis
we could still see a bit more downside before the next major leg up. in a worst case scenario, liq tick to 71-73k imo
and these are the conditions where you should position yourself, the r/r on the short trade is just not there.

Now that people appreciate that prediction markets know their shit, here's how @Polymarket says the next couple years will play out:
79% chance Trump is impeached by end of next year
42% chance Hegseth is fired by EOY
59% chance we're still blockading Iran by EOY
24% chance that Jon Ossoff is Dem nominee (frontrunner)
31% chance that JD Vance is Rep nominee (frontrunner)
68% chance that 2028 president is a Democrat
Don't fade the market.

According to Stand With Crypto’s election tracker, 226 pro-crypto candidates have been elected to the House and 19 to the Senate.
That’s 245 pro-crypto candidates elected across both chambers.

Trump betrayed his own cult and squandered one of the biggest political opportunities in modern history.
He inherited the House, Senate, a 6-3 Supreme Court, a popular vote victory, and a sweep of every swing state. Republicans were winning the culture war. He had an actual mandate and a base ready to follow him anywhere.
Instead, he dragged us into a pointless war nobody wanted, gave us disastrous tariffs, higher costs, militarized policing, DOGE, crypto grifts, pardons for criminals, Epstein stonewalling, attacks on the Constitution, blatant self-enrichment, and virtually zero meaningful legislation.
Meanwhile, he's posting AI slop, obsessing over a ballroom nobody gives a fuck about, botching the Reflecting Pool, and picking fights with our allies.
And America is clearly exhausted. Many Republicans are tired of the narcissism, childish name-calling, nonstop vitriol, and manufactured hysteria about Democrats wanting to “trans your kids.” People want their lives to get better. They want affordability, stability, and some semblance of normalcy. They don't want to hear about John Husted's ass.
I see this as a nationwide rejection of what MAGA has become. It's joever.
An absolutely generational bag fumble.

what i find extremely intellectually dishonest about VCs in crypto is that they obviously know that what makes bitcoin and ethereum big is exactly that they are not run like companies. if they were companies, the value of these systems would go to zero
i’m not saying that we should embrace chaos and a lack of coordination. we should have concrete objectives, roadmaps, and become leaner, but pretending that a cultural movement that resembles a religion more than a company should become a company is idiotic
if you can’t thrive in a world where you have to convince others that your technical solution is better, go build your own corporate chain. oh right, yeah, you’re already doing that

BREAKING: Vice President JD Vance has said that Republicans lost because the war in Iran, the cost of living, and the GOP's relationship with Israel.
Look if you voted for Trump in the last election and literally any of this surprises you
It's probably time to accept you may in fact be a fucking retard
It is actually depressing Trump chose to enrich himself, his family, his Israeli cronies(Kushner, Lutnick) instead of making America great again. Think about how optimistic everyone was in 2016. He had a “mandate from heaven” in the eyes of many people and could have gotten away with using overreaching power to do the right things(build the wall, deport every illegal, “drain the swamp”, go after CAR, re-industrialize, stop offshoring/importing of labor in favor of Americans, etc). Think about how eager everyone was in 2024 with the promises of the Epstein files and mass deportations and the end of wokeness. Even as recently as 2025, post Charlie Kirk passing, the Right was extremely energized and united. Trump used this energy to start another war for Israel in the Middle East. The door for Trump to do all of these things has closed now. Most disappointing President of my lifetime and truly could have been the one of the best ever. The GOP is getting raped tonight because of how pathetic and spineless the republican candidates are(Ramaswamy, Abbot, etc), not because of how good the Democrat candidates are.
