The Cardinals might be one of the worst ran organizations but at least they nailed the Larry Fitzgerald number retirement ceremony

Whole lot of bad PI calls in this game, against both teams. No idea what they saw on Denzel Burke there.

Mike Hazen on Torey Lovullo:
"He's not here because we have a relationship. This is a bottom-line business. Nobody cares about who knows who ... He's the manager of this baseball team because he's a good baseball manager. Period."

The Arizona Diamondbacks would love to have Michael Soroka back. He had multi-year offers from other teams but bet on himself with a one-year deal with the Diamondbacks. He was probably the Dbacks second best starting pitcher and finished the season healthy so he is in line for a multi-year deal at a much higher price than the $7.5 million he made this season. Arizona has a few holes to fill but starting pitching is a premium and although ERod, Pfaadt, Nelson, Kelly and Burnes are back the need for more starting pitching is great. It depends on the number but yes they would like him to return.

Per a source, Lovullo gets a two-year deal, which lines him up contractually with GM Mike Hazen.
